Barmey army were almost completely silent in brisbane. I think it was the lack of heavy beer. I must say on the whole haddin has been very impressive since returning. I thought he was a long time finished. If only we had a top order for him to bat behind...

Cook did look shakey but that ball moved both ways :o

Oh and Clarke is a star! Be interesting to see if we can roll them again. They are really struggling gaskins the pace of our bowlers.

Loved the declaring overnight - last thing England would have been thinking.
 
Lets see if the rain holds off tomorrow.

There is still room for improvement. Smith must be hanging on by the skin of his teeth, Watson is the sacred cow of Australian cricket and Rogers tenure must be limited by his age.
 
Yesterday's second session was sporting bliss. Sitting on the couch with a few stubbies totally engrossed. I was with seven mates, not all of whom give a shit about cricket, but every one of us became hopelessly feral, baying for blood.

It would have been something else actually being at the ground. Did anyone here attend? What was it like?

Was trying to catch as much of the series as possible from overseas. 2-0 and the poms are scared of our bowling attack. Love it

I don't think anyone was wrong about Mitch… he was ordinary. Turned it around in a big way now. Heading for Man of the Series honours.

Must be nice for all the bowlers to have some runs to bowl too.

Agree with this. Perception is reality. And he had been very ordinary. Turned in some special performances but they were few and far between. No doubting his talent, but he hadn't delivered on it until now.

Langers, junior has been playing away from home the last month. Back on home turf after Xmas.

Ditto Watson. Once again we are left wondering what was he thinking playing such an extravagant drive to a wide ball that was back of a good length. It's like he imagines playing a drive before the ball is bowled and then plays it anyway when it isn't there to drive...

No worries. Hopefully the weather picks up.
 
Enjoying this batting. Haddin is having one hell of a series. And great to see smith make some runs when the team needs him. Has the most scope to be our next batting star and he has to stick with his leggies because we he lands them they are great.
