It looks like a mutated cousin of the one at Lords.

If the boundary rope at both the Randwick & Paddington ends were any further on the field they'd be encroaching on the bowlers run-ups. They've made a short, fat ground shorter.
 
Thats what I thought too when I first looked at the stand and let me say.. the one at Lords aint that pretty either. I still cant believe the MCC allowed the Lords media center to go ahead in the size/shape that it is.

Yeah thats another disgrace that has crept in are the boundary ropes everywhere. Its not just 1-2m in some places either. Look at the T20 circus that was at the MCG (not that I have watched a second of it mind you)... they roped off half the bloody ground!

They're allowed one slackie given the state of this series. Come February we'll need to be focussed on an better, more hostile attack.

Loved the series and loved the win but it feels a little hollow that we were given no competition at all. It's not like we were absolutely awesome. Our batting was in trouble nearly every innings but the way the Poms just rolled over would have me ashamed to follow them.

Even when playing poorly I doubt you would ever see such a spineless performance from the Aussie team. I guess it's easier to play for your country when you are playing for your country.
 
A 32 over innings to cap off the tour was as insipid as you'll ever see.

They had us on the ropes a few times throughout the series, so it wasn't devoid of competitiveness.

South Africa will be a terrific series. Kallis' retirement brings them back to the field, but still with their noses in front. Much still rests on Clarke's form.
 
Yep, totally agree. If we open the door for SA with scores of 5-SFA they won't waste the chance to put us away. Really need the top order to have a solid series.
 
Anyone else feel that Captain Michael does not give enough credit to Coach Lehmann for the turn-around?

There';s a lot of "I", "I" and "I"... when he's been involved for a long time and not managed to get the team playing as one.

Maybe I am being a bit harsh.

You are probably right but he has taken a lot of stick so probably does feel he is entitled to celebrate his successes. He has been pretty consistent in saying the group had been working on things for the last couple of years which predates Lehman. He could afford to use the word we a little more though!
