Cummins is talented as shit that's why. Only need to watch what he did in South Africa to see what he can produce. Yeah doesn't have first class matches under his belt but he is a genuine match winner at his best. Siddle has slowed down and we obviously didn't expect Harris not to play.

Anyway looks like
Haddin is out of the second test with nevill to come in. So could be up to three changes

Really crap news about Haddin. Hopefully his daughter is OK.

In terms of team cohesion, 3 changes is a lot - so hopefully that won't work in Watson's favour! Though I read Starc is tipped to play.

Really pleased to see a new keeper get a shot. While not a Haddin fan, I obviously hope his personal reasons aren't too serious. Haven't read in to why he's out yet but if it relates to his daughter simply wish him and the family the best there.

Watson out picked itself. Would have been staggering to select him again.

Miss Rhino already. :(

I bought tix to Day 3 today, which i'm pretty excited about. Surprised they were still on sale tbh. For day 1 i'm behind the bowlers arm - so that wil def be a sporting dream realised. Just glad i won't have to endure a S Watson 30 run knock.

Not seen a lot of Neville but he can bat and probably a better catch than Haddin. Not sure how he goes with spinners but hope he is better than wade.

Well done selectors. You have finally realised what most of us knew years ago. Welcome Mitch marsh. This guy has talent to burn. Let's hope he can make the most of opportunities.

And hoping Starc gets up for the match. Our most dangerous bowler and the only one who swings it.

Just needs to learn to bowl test match length a bit more because his attempted in swing yorkers are a bit one trick ponyish and tend to be half volley cannon fodder most of the time. Needs to be a weapon the batsman is always fearing rather than the stock standard ball they are always expecting and ready to pounce on as soon as the length is wrong or the ball doesn't hoop back like a demon.

Agreed. I think it is something he has improved upon but still more work to do. I think he has a great technique and will get there.

I really hope marsh puts in a good performance first up. He has tonnes of ability with both bat and ball and I think he might be able to swing the ball a bit in the English conditions

overcast morning here in London, but no rain forecast. Reckon the ball will move around a lot first hour of play before settling into a decent batting wicket. Get the feeling Hazlewood is in for a big Test. However I'm pretty concerned about this game and will take a huge effort to bounce back.

What a shit shot from Warner. Unbelievable.

**** Warner shits me.
That was disgraceful. Would cop a spray in park cricket for that rubbish let alone when we are cruising first session of a crucial
Test match

Batting hubris. Horrible to watch.

Clearly the Australians are trying to target Ali as the weak link in the Poms' bowling, so Boof and Clarke need to take a portion of the blame because it's clearly premeditated. They need to be telling the batsmen to pull their heads in.

It's just insane.

They already had 10 runs off that over. Another over from Ali and he could have been 0 for 15. And he probably would have been off.

The thing is though, Dixie, you could see it coming a mile off. And that's what frustrates me no end.

Im fine with targeting him. But with ten off the over already, just take it easy. Classic Warner shot
