it's time the afl give up on having sydney playing home games at anz. 30k for a game of footy at that dump isn't a good look. at the scg it would be better and they probably would have close to a sell out and a better atmosphere.

Very disappointed with our crowd against the bulldogs, they would of had 22-23k themselves. Shithouse, even for an away game.

I noticed this too. As a fellow struggling club it would have been good to get a few more of you guys at the game. We pretty much had the same crowd vs Freo.

Wheres your thread on Port closing half their seating by chucking tarps over them?

1/1 x game per year against another local club = 36,788 avg
8/10 x games per year against interstate clubs = 22,687 avg

Wins, improving our barracker to member to attendee ratio and a bit of luck on the weather front (it's rained every home game bar one or two, including last week when there was horrendous weather forecast that actually held off) wouldn't go astray, but it's a shame we don't have a billion other local clubs to boost our numbers.

Fearing for the AFL's sake the NM v Freo crowd this coming weekend.

By contrast, Geel v Coll should get close to 90,000 and under the AFL's proposed communist tax, we would be paying for the embarrassment that is North Melbourne, all because they can't pull a crowd.

Go figure.

Doubt it will be anywhere near the worst crowd of the decade.

And amazingly, the two top sides will pull a crowd.

In Rd22, North and the Dogs played for top sopt at the G and it got 68k to it.

Well, where is that 3rd Boutique stadium in Melbourne. 20-25K that would get the North folks out and about.

It was as though we were playing an interstate side, the week before v Freo, 26k, against North, 28k.

vs richmond 27k.

And before you trot out the "wasnt our home game" so what? noone cares when its not our home game always a reflection on us.

North did used to pull good crowds on a Friday night, til Collingwood got greedy and decided they needed to muscle in on that time slot.

Was kinda disappointed with our crowd on Sunday, but then again why would North fans bother showing up when their season is on the line?

Not that we can talk, our turn up against Essendon earlier in the year was woeful

Not using the weather as an excuse but it did hail.

North's crowd healthy. Realistically 20k this week against the dockers is a stretch, a win still gives them a chance to kick either Carlton or Sydney out of the 8 with the run home.
With North's chance of making the 8 a reliance on the two teams above to keep losing. That and the kanga "Faithful" divided on the Scott led era and the possible Tasmania move, 20k would be a great turnout this weekend.
Richmond v Melbourne Sunday at the G really should attract 50k plus.

News to me!

Rich v Mel, yes should pull 50k (given decent weather).

North v Freo at Jihad : 20k would be a remarkable result. On this year's attendances, anything under 16k is a disappointment, anything over 16k is a bonus.

Kangaroos home crowd ave is 23,918

18,394 v WC poor
23,646 v SYD fair
26,763 v MELB marginal
16,455 v ADEL poor
30,794 v WBD fair
19,100 v BRIS poor
43,732 v CARL great
15,109 v PORT poor
30,330 v ESS fair
14,891 v FRE poor
? v STK

they most relocate to tas, otherwise just playing 4 games in tas, it will further reduce their crowd in Melbourne

Must relocate to Tasmania? Why?

It ain't gonna happen. And if that annoys dullards like you, even better. :)

Games like today are absolutely perfect for playing at Bellerive IMO.
15k at Bellerive, make $1m.
15k at Etihad, make SFA.

Play four home game at Bellerive
1 v Fremantle, 1 v Port Adelaide, 1 v Gold Coast, 1 v Hawthorn.

Makes sense really.

Handed out a 9 goal thumping to the 5th side.

I suppose I'd whinge about the crowd if I was a Richmond supporter.

Sorry what does the result have to do with the crowd? Nothing, so no need to get upset and crack the sads. Your fellow North supporter sums it up well in the post above.

You think I'm sad?

A bunch of kids that I thought would struggle to win 5-6 games have chocked up 9 wins and are in with a real chance of playing finals.

I am well and truly stoked.

You're clearly upset with my post because you tried to derail the thread and take it off topic with your trolling crap.

Okay, 15,000 was an ordinary crowd, but at the end of the day, that is how many diehards we really have.

The crowd number didn't surprise me in the slightest. A few more wins like today and I hope we can raise that figure by a couple of thousand.

In case you weren't aware, we are a small club.:thumbsu:
