I'm a grumpy old, so it's the real thing for me, surely this is an updated, digitalised version of those cartoon Trackside races they used to have on non-stop at the pub.

Yep, similar but you have to train your horse. Figure out it's strengths, prefered distance etc.

But i thought i heard Andy Lee say that the race results are some sort of random computer selection of 1 of 1000's of possible results, of course i will stand corrected by those who know exactly what is involved.

He did but he also mentioned about breeding and trial and error to figure out what your is best suited to.

How good was that thing? Would get there with a few mates when in Adelaide, no one cared about the roulette or card tables, those six plastic horses doing laps of a well worn track, a few bets and a lot more beers were had. I always dreamed of having one in the pool room!

I was in Vegas pre-Covid and stumbled across one at one of the older Casinos. As we were 'playing' it was free drinks. We drank more than we lost on the punt which is always good.
