The curse of Norm Smith...

I think Smithy will cast it aside to let Ron experience one last flag (or hopefully the first of a few more). The club is in the best position it has been in since he was coach, we have people making good decisions. We're here earlier than we expected, and missing a couple of young stars, but the list is in great shape.

The following week, coached by Checker Hughes, Melbourne lost to North Melbourne for the first time in 12 years. Two days later, Smith was reinstated as coach, a position he held until 1967.

I’ve come across my fair share of wild, dysfunctional s**t in my short time following the Dees. But doing a complete 180 and rehiring the guy after one week takes the cake (honorable mention to Trac‘s near death experience in a pool).

Can barely understand what they are saying. No cliche's, no learnings, they sound...what's the opposite to lying.

* does Barass look like a smug little Carlton campaigner in that video...

He'd love starting threads in the bay about Charlie Spargo leading the league in pressure acts for rounds 2-5!
We need more of us in the Bay, especially if we somehow go top.
