Analysis The D Word

We need more mids, forwards and backs. What is stopping CFC creating a Swans style academy?

We've got our Father-Son academy, and now we're setting up a Diversity academy.

Taking in draft-eligible kids that we don't have additional rights over is a loss-making exercise for the club, so would need AFL financial support.

From the depths of last year we now have three wins under the belt with Weitering & Boekhorst out of the best 22, White, Buckley, Jaksch, Sheehan, Phillips, Graham are also more than adequate inclusions for every area of the ground. Then there's the kids we can afford time that are injured or still building form like Rainbow, Puma Prince Charles, Cuningham.

As long as we play united and good team footy it'll be a pleasure to watch the development win loss or draw.

It's a privilege to have you in the thread.

Pies can eat the D word .....

On a serious note though, the way the game plan is developing, Bolton seems to be concentrating on role/team players (not so much superstars in their own right). This growth in itself will appear to add to our depth as anyone of our lads that know/understand the gameplan will be able to come into the side.

This type of structure can only be an absolute boon for sustained long term success. :thumbsu:

I never expected at the start of this year to be where we are (In a very surprised, proud, good way).

In actual fact ... I'm shocked we are sitting here ((but not in a drug cheat scandal cover up way), in a warm fuzzy, half a chubby, proud, nostalgic way)).

And so here we are at Round 9, 4 wins on the trot, up against the ladder leader, and bang, down goes our No.1 ruck, our chf, gun mid on one leg, and all of our first round talls missing....

Next in line rucks Phillips, Wood injured???

So is there anyone we can pull from the Bullants to compete against one of the best rucks going around?

Casboult is now a recognised KF - when only 4 weeks ago everybody was talking how he might snag us a crappy second round draft pick...
Kruezer was considered by many as a wasted #1 draft pick, but now looks better than Cotchin:eek:

BB doing the job and our depth looking OK.
Hope we find more depth this week.
Really want to see KJ, Gorringe and Cuningham soon.

May be we throw Crippa in the Ruck. He can just jump straight up and shark Goldie's taps
If he wasn't on one leg and way to important to risk in the ruck, the kid could probably do it too. ;)
