Hi Swannies!
I'm an Aussie living in Poland, and I'm the coach of the Polish Devils AFL team. We've set up a footy tournament in Tallinn, Estonia on October 5th - the Baltic Cup. We will play a round robin between Poland, Russia (who will field 2 teams), Sweden and Finland.
I learnt the other day that Dane Rampe has some Estonian roots. And I thought it would be a bit of a laugh to change the name of the tournament to the “Dane Rampe Cup”. It would help us get a bit of PR too, which would be very valuable, as the sport is still in its infancy in Eastern Europe and Finland (Sweden seems to be fairly developed though).
We wouldn’t do this without the consent of Dane Rampe himself though. Does anyone have a contact to him who could float the idea?
(Note that no-one’s making any profit out of this. It’s a purely developmental initiative, and all the players pay their way themselves)
Let me know if this is totally ridiculous.
THANKS!
