Casting has begun on a television series adaptation of Stephen King's eight-book magnum opus The Dark Tower, a post-post-apocalyptic western fantasy science fiction horror series.

"Hang on, wasn't this a movie two years ago?" Yes. But it didn't make enough money so that's over. This will not be sharing canon.

Sam Strike will be playing the main character Roland Deschain aka the Gunslinger and Jasper Paakkonen will be playing a villain. Never heard of these actors.

Sam Strike looks way too young for Roland which makes me wonder if they're going to start at Wizard and Glass.

Just looked on imdb. It will be based on Wizard and Glass. Bronn from GoT and King Aelle from Vikings also in the cast.

Jasper will be playing Marten Broadcloak/Randall Flagg.
