Universal Love The Dash Brothers (Smith and Seedsman)

Neale would be a hugeeeeee get. Don't be fooled by the height, the guy is a clean cut clearance specialist, he'd be an upgrade on Thommo and he's what..22 years old?
Lachie's gone IMO and it'll just take one first rounder. Which could be pick 12-20, I'd do it in a heartbeat. A very talented player. Could break out even more and become a top 10 mid.

Imagine we got Neale with a first rounder then Heppell & Hurley for free (DFA), it could realistically happen.

The best thing those bombers players could do is leave Melbourne... The amount of s**t they cop here is enormous, I'm talking out on the street, it's nasty. Their quality of life is paramount, wouldn't surprise me if their managers are endorsing them to go interstate.

I'm hugely against trading draft picks, because I more often than not believe it backfires, but provided we don't pay overs I think it could firmly set us up for a premiership.

Lets hope to god that things go from bad to worse at Freo and we continue our current form.

A blue chip forward line and speed around the ground with long penetrating kicks. We have the weapons to do damage.

Getting another A Class mid has to be the major priority in the off season.
its a non-negotiable in my opinion, we have to land someone - Neale or Heppell, I'm not fussy ;)

has the Essendon player's DFA status been confirmed? Last I heard there were mixed messages about it, kind of "they're supposed to be, but the AFL won't let it happen" sort of thing. We have to have money floating around... if we're looking the goods at the end of the year I'll go out on a limb and say both are possible, if Heppell is a DFA you HAVE to go hard, would be a ridiculously good free hit.

Heppell laps up the Essendon Kool-Aid. I don't wan't any of that stench to drift over the Adelaide footy club.

him renouncing that garbage would precede any movement.

going anywhere won't be on the cards unless he's woken up to the fact that his club lied to him, put his health at risk, and have permanently stained his career. IF he realises any of that he's hardly going to bring a love of the bombers across.

Has seed fallen back into half back much? My eyes are awful and the fact that smithers and himself look so similar on the ground makes it hard to tell.

Seed was always going to improve here in a new clear cut role. Much like Hendo he isn't an accountable defender and shouldn't be played as such (something Collingwood persisted with).

Never realised how similar these guys look.

Could cost Smithers a Brownlow:p
Might help win him one too as Smith is more well known than the seed... ;)

What a great pick up by the club, his inclusion has taken the pressure off Smith and allowed him to get back to career best form. Once the Seed adjusts to his new environment and hits top form, look out.

It might only be round 4, but I'm already sold on having two quick long kicking wingmen in the side.
We're very lucky!
Smith has that exocet missile kick with the precision of a surgeon cutting up and opening up a team and can kick a looooong 9 pointer.
Seedy can kick a long ball  and run. I salivate in expectation on his form by the mid year break.

The view of Collingwood supporters I know is that he simply wasn't consistent. The guy had played what.. 50 games? What do you expect. I think its pretty clear the talent and will is there and just needed to develop the consistency to become a regular. Even this year he has drifted in an out (early games) but absolutely has been well worth it and can't see anyone displacing him.

So we have
the dash brothers: smith and seed
The bash brothers: the crouches
The Flash brothers: Eddie and Milera

And Sydney have the cash brothers:
Franklin and Tippett

Smash brothers - Lever and Laird?
Not so Flash Brothers - Mackay and VB.

Am i doing it right?

Both Hurley and Heppell would be sensational gets but I am not convinced the Crows will be able to afford both of them and pursue an experienced mid in the draft like a Lachie Neale. I would personally pursue Hurley and Neale. Hurley would fit brilliantly into our defensive structure and Neale straight into our Midfield rotations.
