Bad luck Chayce

How much better would our 22 be with Smith and Milera rotating off half back/wing and Chayce or Ned doing our version of an apprenticeship at half forward. Either could then run a few minutes in the midfield if required as well. They both came with big reps on their fitness. Instead we run Smith/Milera through the forward line where they’re at best average and Chayce/Ned in the 2’s. All so the most ordinary performer can play in his best spot where he rates a 3/10 at best and unable to play anywhere else. It’s a ****ing disgrace, pure and ****ing simple.

What if we end up trading out players for multiple picks and then can’t organise any 2 into 1 upgrades? What if we end up leaving a 3rd rounder on the shelf so we can watch that plodder run meaningless patterns for another year. I agree that anyone picked anywhere would be equally as valuable, but as I posted in the past, Mackay getting a year ahead of a 5th-6th rounder wouldn’t bother me. Extending him before trade period has even begun, let alone finished is inexcusable. Especially taking into account the lack of a coach and doubts surrounding senior assistant courtesy of the forced review.

We've all been hoping for this for 3 years now. Hell, I thought we'd be done with Mackay in the firsts back in 2016 when we got Seed.
