Resigned myself to this happening because it’s just how we roll. Still, they’ve outdone themselves by pulling the trigger before trade week concludes and we have an actual coach and certainty over assistants. Only our club could do this but it’s not surprising. Great news for Kieran Strachan, he deserved another year and we need the ruck depth in the squad so it makes sense to lock this in now, as for David Mckay I fear that tomorrow Andrew Fagan will hold another presser, neatly hidden in the lead up to the GF to say fooled you all on David's announcement, which is unfair either way to David, saying of course we would not make such offers until we at least have appointed a senior coach and have completed our review etc... and determined our future strategy and direction regarding the playing group, it would be irresponsible to do anything else.

Can anyone explain to me what the actual game day impact of his ‘experience’ will be? How will that manifest on the field? How about during the week? Will others see him trying hard and also be inspired to try hard?
