Think all this is showing is Nicks putting his stamp on what he wants the list to look like.

If he doesn’t succeed then he owns it and he knows that.

We lose nothing by Mackay retiring, rotate developing players in that Best 22 spot and we get comparable performance at worst.

It's no secret that many on here have been very vocal about Mackay, especially in certain threads, but let's stick to the positives. He's clearly been an outstanding clubman over the journey and he always threw himself in the contest despite his frame. Thanks for your service.

Yeah he did go when it was his turn, played with a lot of courage. His boot laces were always tied too. Um, he stuck with the hair style even though it hasn't been fashionable for years, which is admirable.

Likely no one will ever appoach 248 games for us again, while being so average. We have truly been blessed. We will all miss him.

You do not have to be a star footballer to coach, but he also clearly had a more notable playing career than Alastair Clarkson, Chris Fagan, Luke Beveridge, Matthew Nicks, Justin Longmuir, Ross Lyon or Andrew McQualter.
