Well if it is true he is retiring, then I wish him all the best for his future and when all was said and done, forgetting all the banter, he is a 200 game AFC player and not too many players get to play 200 + games at that level. All the best to him

The guy tried his hardest every time he played and honestly seems like one of the nicest dudes on our list.
I can’t speak for everyone here but I think most the criticism about him is aimed at the selectors for picking him in front of developing younger players.

I can’t speak for everyone here but I think most the criticism about him is aimed at the selectors for picking him in front of developing younger players.

I think the frustration is rightly at the selection/list management.

The communication is often unfairly personally directed at 14. Seems a genuinely good bloke, a good club man and over 14 years and 240 odd games I think it's been drastically unfair to criticize his effort.

Well liked by six coaches because they know he set the standard among the playing group for being profesional.

As maligned a player as he's been, he will have a pretty sweet looking highlights package. Even that goal in the showdown was an absolute pearler.

Something to bear in mind when judging draftees from a 90 second highlight video.
