Cannot wait for this one!

Emmerich hasn't had a flop yet so after seeing the 'Making of' feature after ID4 tonight I think he's got another winner with this one.

5 DAYS!
I suppose Godzilla was such a huge flop, that you must have forgotten about it. :)

I hope this movie is decent.

It sure as hell wasn't good

I have a DVD on order from the States, "The Day After" with Jason Robards & Steve Guttenberg in it, is "The Day After Tomorrow" about the same topic?

Disaster movies suck. It's just same old American tripe over and over again but with a different landscape.

Twister
Volcano
Daylight
Towering Inferno
The Day After Tomorrow

It's all the same crap.

They somehow manage to throw in some tripe love story which ruins the whole experience.

I remember seeing the shorts for Independence Day and thinking "this movie looks the Adam"....God it was bad

Better have a good story line. I'm sick of all these big budget sh*thouse "films".
I'll try and keep it simple...

Polar melting screws up a weather system and results in a drastic climate change, with the result being unusual weather in different places. For example... snow falls in Spain, rain that doesn't stop for three straight days in Manhattan, warmer parts of America copping the cold and Venice's waterways freeze over.

But it doesn't stop there... soon enough tidal waves and a heavy concentration of tornadoes in LA pop-up and in the middle Dennis Quaid undertaking a trek to rescue his son Jake Gyllenhaal.

If you want more info go to www.thedayaftertomorrow.com

A theatrical trailer is available for download with QuickTime... take a look for yourself.

Twister looks the worst out of the lot. Didn't mind Daylight or Towering Inferno and from the previews I have seen, The Day After Tomorrow looks fantastic!

Saw it today on the SuperScreens at Hoyts, you have to see it that way.

Great work by Emmerich here, a very... well, chilling look at what could happen if governments aren't willing to listen to the real experts on our planet.

Cool special effects and it does have a story behind it so it is not all just full-on eye candy, although that is one sweet part about the movie.
