Brisbane Lions' selections

#18 Ben Sharp
#27 Lynden Dunn
#45 Shane Neaves
#50 Mark McGough
#64 Chris Gooley

I suspect not one of these will end up at the Lions. It was fun pretending though.

1. Richmond - Brett Deledio (Murray Bushrangers) centre/Ruck rover/fwd
4. Richmond - Ryan Griffen (South Australia) centre/ruckrover
12. Richmond - Jordan Lewis (Geelong Falcons) centre/ruck rove
16. Richmond - Matthew Bate (Eastern Ranges) FB/FF
20. Richmond - Ivan Maric (Calder Cannons) Ruck
36. Richmond - Toby Stribling (South Australia) Rover
52. Richmond - Michael West (Queensland) CHB/CHF/RUCK
65. Richmond - Scott Meyer (Gippsland Power) CHF RUCK
72. Richmond - Jonathon Griffen (Western Australia) CHFRUCK

Targeted the engine room and corridor and went after skilled youngsters with pace.Remember that for tomorrow please Richmond.

Stribling and Deledio would finish a sprint together;
Ryan Griffen has pace and precise delivery,
Lewis isn't as quick but will knock 'em over and has nice skills.
Bate is very young, quick, jumps and finishes well.
Maric taps well, takes a mark, shows skills.
West Meyer and J. Griffen are very tall-mobile units: Agile, quick and play CHF, CHB and RUCK competently.

13. Melbourne - Heath Grundy (South Australia)
15. Melbourne - Fabian DeLuca (Eastern Ranges)
43. Melbourne - Andrew Lee (Tasmania)

Pretty happy with the selections picked Grundy to be our future full-back to takeover from big AL he has played 2 years of Senior footy at Norwood, Can play at both ends is not the best athlete but rather a natural football player and is a good mark, good in a contest and reads the play well.
Then picked DeLuca to be a developing ruckman probably ready to play AFL in 3 years when Whitey is winding down his ruckwork and playing more in the forward line. DeLuca is a good tap ruckmen and given some further development who knows?.
Picked the Enigma Lee with pick 43 he can be great at times then go missing but if he puts it all together he looks quite a prospect. Good 2nd efforts, good agility and is a good mark. Lee gives another option for the foward line in the future and is a solid pick.

The Dees are interested in Grundy and Lee but not sure about their interest in DeLuca.

it will be interesting to see which bf fan picked the most players that are actually drafted

and which bf fan gets the most of its clubs recruits right.

and hardest of all: how many times a pick matches the player to the club to the selection.

:D

Hawthorn's selections
Pick 2: Richard Tambling (Northern Territory)
Pick 5: Lance "Buddy" Franklin (Western Australia)
Pick 7: John Meesen (Geelong Falcons)
Pick 21: Ryan Jackson (Northern Knights)
Pick 26: Adam Pattison (Northern Knights)
Pick 53: Andrew Swallow (Western Australia)

Ruck, keys and midfield all addressed. Huzzah! I'd imagine the first three will mirror Gary Buckenara's choices, while 21 and 26 could also come out the same. 53 will probably be a pass, and otherwise, I don't think Swallow's name is one I've heard from sources as a possible Hawthorn pick-up.

Port Adelaide's selections
Pick 11: Danny Meyer (Glenelg)
Pick 19: Chad Gibson (Norwood)
Pick 34: Nathan Van Berlo (WA)
Pick 35: Jesse Wells (Burnie, TAS)
Pick 51: Brent Prismall (Western Jets)

Pretty happy with this lot, though I didn't exactly get the sort of mouthy, nuggety defender I aimed for...but with Van Berlo & Wells available at 34 I went for the talent. I very much doubt Port will get the opportunity to select this way.

Well, one from six. I think everybody was surprised when we chose Roughead ahead of Tambling. Got Franklin right, and Lewis at seven was another surprise ahead of Meesen. Jackson wasn't picked up at all, but he's bottom-age and expect him to be picked up early next year. Pattison was picked at 16 and Swallow - like Jackson - is bottom-age and will go next year.

I prefer my selections. ;)
