What is vanilla. Someone aksed on another thread why the hate with Nickleback. It's because they are the posterboy for vanilla music. It's not the music that pisses people off (because haters don't listen to it), it's the fact that something so vanilla and way down the pecking order of it's genre gets so many fans.

I have some friends (a couple) and they are Mr and Mrs Vanilla. ****ing clueless about things in general and no real inkling about the good stuff under the surface.

This is what Mr and Mrs Vanilla are into:

Nickleback + U2 + Coldplay
NCIS + CSI + Big Bang Theory
Morning TV
Rove
Reading Sunday Paper
Toyota Camry

I know some of you people will have massive hissy fits if I dare put something you're into in the Mr and mrs vanilla basket, so lets have some fun.

Dane Swan has to be the most entertaining player and is on there frequently. Definitely not plain. Nor is Dangerfield.

Everybody's different though and has their own interests. Often people who just aren't interested in something don't spend much time thinking about it.

The Camry is a good example. I've got mates who drive Corollas and Magnas and I give them a bit about it. They wouldn't know a fuel line from a brake line and couldn't give a shit.

Likewise vice versa with stuff they're into.

For all you know Mr and Mrs Vanilla might be into bondage and swinging or something else.

Seen the Camry ads? Self depreciating about the stereotype that square vanilla people drive Camrys. You know why boring vanilla people drive Camrys?

Because they are boring and vanilla and see Toyota as a safe car. Saftey is important so they go check which car wins the safety award each year. Camry is right up there. That's why you always see old people driving them slow.
