Both Danger and Selwood are guns, they don't need to milk for frees. I'm more concerned about the effect on umpiring decisions. That Danger reversal was horrendous, imagine that was a final and it changed the outcome.

Why was it horrendous? The guy bulldozed through Dangerfield how is he expected to stay on his feet? better still why shouldn't he exaggerate it if he's bracing for contact? Any player would do it.

Yes it is.
It's like getting a little shove on a diving board that doesn't tip you off the edge but you still choose to fall off

Well if you put it that way sure. But nothing I saw tonight was anything like that.

Adeliade where playing a physical game and the umps where on to it, looks like some of the Geelong players thought they could exploit it. It backfired really because it had no effect on the result. it's not a good look but it's not as bad as what bigfooty is portraying such as creating crappy threads over it.

Why are Geelong supporters always so defensive over this issue. Yes other teams do it, but none as bad as Geelong. They're just used to getting their own way playing at Kardinia Park and fail to adapt to more 'neutral' umpiring away from there.

Bulldozed?
Haha what?

Have you even played footy? You'd be soft as ****ing butter.

And you claim to support Adelaide.
Have you ever been to or watched a Crows game at Adelaide Oval.
I went to an Adelaide v Brisbane game at AAMI a few years ago. We were sitting maybe 10 rows back from the boundary - great view of what was unfolding in front of us. A Brisbane player makes slight incidental high contact to a Crows player when attempting to tackle.....crowd screams blue murder -> free kick Adelaide.
About 5 mins later - pretty much exactly same spot on the ground.....not 10 meters from the boundary line right in front of us - a Brisbane player near has his head taken off (comparatively) - not a sound from the crowd -> play on

I would not call Adelaide Oval a neutral venue......especially when it comes to umpiring

Crows are way off the mark? Yet they're a game and a half clear on top of the ladder?

If anything the G is more likely to suit the Crows against the Cats, being a much bigger oval.

Agree, their record there in recent years (post 2011) is pretty average. Wide spaces don't suit their style of football.

Yeh, top of table and best %, best attack and defence not shabby either - reckon we are going ok.

Dangerfield generally doesn't play for frees but the one in the centre when he took the enormous dive and was given a free looked like one of those soccer numpties

That is and should be removed altogether from our game it is pathetic Danger isn't usually like that but in this case he should be spoken to and maybe acknowledge he was acting like a twat

The last quarter is atrocious. Geelong just doing whatever they like. Ducking, throwing, diving. The worst part is that they're getting the frees for it

so 10 - 2 in the frees to the crows at the start of the game is just regulation for adelaide but geelong aren't allowed any

Selwood on the other hand has built his game around looking for frees

Watch the replay and listen to the commentators comments re: Selwood frees. The commentators are bemused, especially Lingy.

Selwood will pay for it in 20 years - constant knocking of the head etc.

Have a look at the replay, champ. How many of your goals were from frees?

Belted you in clearances, won the contested possession count.

The only two stats you won - free kicks and tackles (= you didn't have the ball).

It's not about winning the count of frees it's just a couple of players seem to be getting a few extra favours

Unfortunately we have seen Selwood who has devised a way to drop his knees and play for free kicks like netballers play for contact for years it's nothing new

Normally the AFL stamp out these blatant attempts to compromise the game but they havent here

Danger just thinks he's part of a theatre and is appearing in phantom of the opera he just loves the spotlight and plays up to the cameras
