Papley's really distinguished himself as a good bloke this weekend. It's one thing to dive in the heat of the moment, and quite another to continue with the charade and get a bloke suspended.
Two in two weeks. Ahead on countback from Plowman who has two in three weeks.

Basic facts hard to digest for Sydney fans?

No visualisation necessary, he's been all over the tv two weeks running, players are missing games on account of this turd's antics.

This has run its course: Papley dives and you kid yourself thinking otherwise.
The only reason Dincan is missing is because he punched a guy. The reat is irrelevant.
Game over

The real point regarding Papley has been missed by a country mile. Don't be an idiot and you won't get suspended.

I admire the Cats (unlike their bitches the Hawks) but Duncan has himself to blame. Most Cats supporters seem to agree and are naturally disappointed. I too would prefer they had a full strength team to take down a few going into the finals.

Hodge has a history of stupid thug acts and once again he's set a poor example for the young players and let the side down. How dopey do you have to be ? Mind you, as he plays for the Hawks I don't give a toss. That team is done for the year and he's just about done too.

As for Papley. What a little gem.
he's a handy player, but embarrassing your club. Wonder if his teammates will have something to say to him? We all recall the 'no dickheads' policy- the plural means they are allowed just one papley, I suppose.

What stats would those be? Jed Lamb missed a game and a half from concussion, Kreuzer missed the rest of the Geelong match, what are the 'amazing recovery stats' of which you speak?
He was rested , played next game which he was never going to miss, in the meantime Danger loses a brownlow due to Carltons dodgy medico's and coaching staff. You dont always have to be on drugs to be labelled cheats, it's spelt CAAAAARRLLTON.

Go to 1 minute in, Papley asked if it was acting, or a good shot and he replied- 'a bit of both'.

Then states that 'Hodgey got him better', yet hodge receives a fine and Duncan gets a week.

Based on this info, Geelong be crazy not to challenge it.

Paps is one of those players that do a lot better in the AFL than they would in state or lower leagues.

He gets beautiful service and protection from professional team mates.

I have a feeling 'The Smear' would struggle more and more, the further down the chain he goes.

Are there any other players like this?

Shameless flog, admits to staging then still claims he 'got a good one' in one breath.

HE WAS RESTED?!! So from the second quarter to the end of the game Carlton rested their ruckman? What a joke of a post.

Is that a confession re Essendon drug use? Finally a confession from an Essendon supporter. Well done. It must feel good.

Oh. I hope Merrett takes the week off to grow a brain cell.

I know Mumford got him high.. but it looked to me like Gawn made the most of it.
I completely agree with this.
Definitely got him but Gawny flopped and his body went very limp. Not a great look

He admits it was a genuine punch and that he emphasised it to make sure he got the free (that was there). No other player would ever do that ?

Sorry, but Duncan is the problem. If you punch another player you risk getting done. If you do it in front of an umpire you're not particularly gifted.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but that kid Miles from Hawthorn is a great diving prospect. Never have I seen a young prospect so adaptable to diving (beast mode and diver McLean not included).

Noticed that on the weekend. Maybe not so much a dive but weak in the knees. To be fair though, Anthony Miles too manages to milk a few frees.

Hodge gets away with a lot for such a dirty player. Always has.

On the contrary, Papley is admired by team and fans alike. He's a bloody good small forward whom we picked up as a rookie. To clarify for you, the 'no dickheads' policy simply means the team comes first above everything else. The Swans players would consider Duncan and Hawkins dickheads for behaving like children and letting their team down. Your club has a discipline issue which is threatenting to derail your finals push. They need to deal with it or finals success won't happen, and that would be a real shame with such a talented and hard-working team. Don't point the finger at the victim.

Papley will have zero respect from opposition players very shortly, if he has any at all.
It never stopped Hodge. In fact, I can't think of a respected Hawthorn player. Do you have one ? Oh wait, Sam Mitchell. He wasn't so bad.

You do have a point about Hawkins- oppo players knows he is able to be sucked in and exploit it. It is his responsibility to rise above these tactics.

As for paps, what are your thoughts about ballantyne? Did you see him as a victim when he played? These types of players hit the deck and exploit umpires not being certain about level of force. I reiterate that 95% of players keep their feet after such incidents- this tactic doesn't sit well with me!

I'm more pissed about Mumfords tackle on Maynard. That was much worse than the bump yet no case to answer....
Yeah you are spot on, I can't believe that went not only unpunished but was not even mentioned!
Reckon Gawny should have stood up to his one though rather than flopping like a sack of spuds

Sydney and Carlton fans. This isn't the thread to pointlessly defend your flopping divers. Melbourne supporters put their hand up when Oliver dived an took their medicine. This is to out the divers and Papley and Plowman deserves a membership. In fact I might make a divers TOTY featuring them + Rance SPS etc

The thread would work better in the bay then. Diving is going down as if shot from barely existent contact.

Yeah like Plowman and SPS have done this year already. Same as Oliver Rance and Papley

Duncan is responsible for his actions (striking) and he is paying the consequences for it.

Papley is responsible for his actions (diving) and is not paying any consequences for his actions.
