I carry my cards inside my phone holder with money in its side pocket.
It would be good to have everything on the phone, though. There will be a time in the not-to-distant future when the phone does it all. You can already access some vending machines and can check in airports using your phone. You can check the security of your premises using cameras that connect to your phone. Pretty soon you'll operate your roller door. use it for operating all electronic devices in your home, start your car, etc.
Plus your car will be able to drive you home after you've had a skin full and a small 3D printer in the glovebox will be able to print you a lamb yiros with garlic sauce, to have on the way home.

That's an interesting call... I just don't subscribe to wholesale consumption of everything....
I to don't require to be in the "in crowd"
By having everything that comes along.
However I think the smart phone is up there with fire and the wheel for usefulness. I we'll remember hunting the streets for a pay phone to make an order and God only knows how I found out information on things I wasn't sure about.
I probably had a guess. I would say my own productivity would have increased by 50/60% from initially the mobile and then the smart phone. Of course that increase is tempered by my goofing off on big footy.

They had Mark Ricciutos memorable games on foxtel , saved it on the IQ. So bliss!

The Games I recorded were:
Geelong vs Adelaide 2002
Adelaide vs Port 2015
98 GF
Watched the last quarter of the showdown - was one of the games of the season for so many reasons.

I watched that last week and we were fortunate we got home as we blew a big lead in that last q.
I don't often go onto the Pear Board, but happened to be over there yesterday and there is a fair bit of bitterness by some Pear supporters over that game. They reckon they owe us big time for some reason. Couldn't work out what they were talking about, but that par for the course with a lot of Pear people.

You can also use it to send money to someone else.

Say your kid is stuck somewhere without a card and needs cash to get home or something. You can have the details sent to their phone to allow them to take cash out.
But what if I don't have a smartphone? I'll never be able to buy anything again.

You don't like, eat the phone.
consumption
1.
the action of using up a resource.

Eating is one to consume, but it's not the only way...

Eh... I still have a phone, it's just not connected to the internet... I have the internet at home. In the meantime I don't end up staring at my phone 24/7 like every other zombie on the planet....

How do you cheat in pub quizzes though?

I cheated once a long time ago during a pub quiz. I went to the toilet and rang my mate because for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the singers on Roy & HG's Club Buggery

How I forgot the Nissan Cedrics, I never know...

certainly not my proudest moment... But there was no google or wikipedia used at all.. just an old fashioned 'I'll phone a friend, thanks, Eddie'

on further reflection, I don't think smartphones were a thing yet.. it was just after I first moved to Melbourne

I don't go to pub quizzes. I just thought of a solution to the problem.
I have actually been to a few where people blatantly have their phones out at the table, checking every question, and the organizers don't bat an eye. Spoils the whole experience, and makes it pointless.

Just don't go back to those.

OT has anyone been to the quiz at The Hackney?
