Given we are likely to pay out Pyke it'll mean we probably have to go with another rookie coach.
Bass wouldn't work under certain people at the footy club. Not sure his gamestyle suits.
Rutten has huge kudos over in Victoria but it'll feel like a boys club move.
Burns has been knocked back twice before
Caracella ticks a lot of boxes but will he move with an Essendon job potentially on the horizon.
Longmuir also ticks the boxes.
Mattner from our club maybe ?? Similar style issues to Bassett.
Sam Mitchell could teach our mids how to be great without needing speed.

He's the most experienced and credentialed coach that will be available should Pyke be sacked.
Some of the others have already been overlooked before or simply do not have enough experience .

Rumours on some footy shows are that if Essendon lose their final Worsfold is out and Rutten in. Wouldn't mind the Crows looking at Rutten if Pyke is terminated. Has good Intel from Richmond.

If he is the right man for the job who he played for shouldn't be a reason to not hire him. The problem is that we have hired ex players who aren't qualified for the job due to friendships and an insular mentality. I am not saying that he would get the job but the club should interview him along with the best candidates in the land. I hope that any unqualified ex players and hangers on such as Campo are removed once this club audit has been done.

Burton and campo need to be shown the door, how in the **** is campo still at the club, next year is what 10 years? How has this bloke not been under the media microscope previously? how many sacked coaches has this guy lasted? Craig, Sanderson, Walsh {different story} and now Pyke. Wake the **** up AFC and put a broom through the club.

Season 2020 is already a write off*. The results of the review will come in too late to make a difference.
*write off in terms of being remotely in the conversation for finals or contending. We can still pump games into the next generation and build for the future.

Ross Lyon is high risk high reward. We could just crumble but then again he could take us to a grand final and pretty quickly on the back of good defensive structures
