I know that if I was one of those 12 players currently at Essendon I'd be wanting out ASAP. Fresh start at a new club, move on from the past.

Not sure his "circumstances" will change much Ammo....he will likely get the "Goodes" treatment if he returns..I think he's 31 now...with 12 months out?And also likely to have to return his Brownlow will gut him further.

Not only do I not want any Essendon players, I would also be unhappy if either Stokes or Kelly played for the Dons this year. I want them to remain one club players , am I selfish?

Not at all. Can you see that happening though? After being belted week in, week out Kelly and Stokes will want a permanent holiday from football.

BTW, I thought I read Stokes is committed to NT?

Lets just wait and see. I can't see him at Geelong as the offer would be too low.

However, someone will offer big $$$ to players like Heppell and Hurley. Someone will try poach these guys for free by offering a large stack of cash. I wouldn't be surprised if loyalty goes out the window if large sums of money are mentioned. Free Agents get paid and these guys will be no different if they really do have the potential to leave.

Would someone offer Heppell a $1m a year in a desperate attempt to get him across for free??

we recruited our H to play in D , id rather add mid talent till it overflows. If Heppel were to be declared a FA... the guy would probably be out of our price range , at his age and talent and FA... most clubs would throw the kitchen sink at him.
