Well it might have become more quiet in the far north/west Queensland town of Doomadgee but how is it possible an entire community thinks of itself above the law. After a person was arrested for breaking an officers nose the community protests and damages police property and the Police Association had declared it was considering pulling out for police safety.

This is a farce that any community can think they can threaten police after the officer's nose was broken after intervening in a family dispute. It seems only a couple of people were arrested and are probably getting slaps on the wrist when the same offence in Brisbane would likely see a real prison term. Real action should have been taken, more police and more arrests and also curfews if needed. You have to feel sorry for the law abiding people in the community however few that may be.
