James is a dick. It is known. Nothing surer.

But how exactly can he be so dumb to keep making shit decisions like he has. I know Tania may no longer be on the scene, but how much influence would she have had when he come up with some of this shit? Can just imagine (sorry to suggest the image) what they discussed before they went to sleep at night.

With her legal background, she must have had some idea of consequences. He would have confided absolutely everything in her. She surely would have offered advice and counsel, in the caring wife mode, and not the lawyer/ client type relationship. So is she a total arseclown herself, or has she been trolling him and selling him up the creek in revenge for him rooting round on her? Nice idea. (Could she be professionally liable, and is he gonna sue her next, or is this just too messy to contemplate?)

He's gonna lose everything, while she walks away with how many of their assets? I had hoped that the players would take to him, and they would both suffer and be out on the street on their arses. But I can actually picture her setting up an arrangement to 'protect' their assets in her name, and him being left skint. He's then left to endure this downfall on his own. A very public divorce would be the cherry on top.

Too vivid an imagination?

You give her 2 years of conveyancing way too much credit.

So to save 750k he has spent 550k lol he needs to fire his lawyers

Maybe Hird has another insurance policy that covers him against costs if he loses to Chubb?
Or his lawyer's insurance covers the costs?

If so, he can now commence action against them.

There are endless possibilities!

I wonder if Hird's lawyer drives a new car to every court hearing just to take the piss out of Sir James?
I think James should sue his lawyers for not winning any of the cases. I think this is a good next move, James.

hey peeps - not sure if anyone else has explored the plethora of new emoji options available to us but I found this little gem, :syringe: in the "Emoji Extended" folder. Could it be the new * ?

James is rapidly running out of... :moneybag::moneybag::moneybag::moneybag::moneybag:
Yes but they still haven't changed this shit one: . The older one was better.

Yeah sorry, I can't believe things would have gone backwards since I studied a sports law unit in 2002 where drugs in sport and strict liability were drilled in to us by lecturer Sam Cusumano (who is still involved in footy admin/ law). 99% of the class weren't even athletes at a high level. Sorry, but we didn't know (and we didn't declare usage of 'vitamins') excuses don't cut the mustard).
I was in bed with my wife last night and I just had to tell her about strict liability...

Time for some reality...

The biggest myth in the entire doping saga, is that players and officials had their head in the sand and didn't know what was going on.

They all knew.

They all knew why Dank was there.

They all knew what his job was.

They all knew why the players were getting jabs offsite.

They all knew why they were recieving scripts from Doctors other than Reid for their injections.

They all knew why they were not to declare the injections to ASADA.

They all thought that the EFC had employed a 'guru' who knew his way around the code.

They all thought they had found a loophole, and had gotten one up on the rest of the comp.

Two things continue to shit me about how the media speak about this saga....

1. It's not a "supplements scandal" it's Doping. Pure and simple.
2. There's no possible way that an AFL club in 2012, would employ a man to oversee a regime of involved and specific injections without numerous people being involved and monitoring the outcome.

How else would they have been able to quantify the program as a success two months into the season ...if no one involved knew what it actually was that anyone was getting.

Anyone who has set foot in Waverley can see the numerous whiteboards which record weight sessions, sprint times, vertical jump heights...the list goes on and on, and the fitness and conditioning staff take it to a whole other level, monitoring sleep, time on the ground, time sprinting, time jogging.... It goes on and on as well.
Does anyone truly believe that clubs record skinfolds, running patterns, time on the ground etc, but don't record what injections each players has received?

The AFLPA's complete reluctance to challenge the statement from the AFL tribunal that "the players will never know what they were injected with" said enough. No Union in the world sits idle when its members are treated in such a way....unless that union knows more, and recognises that it's members are best served by buttoning their lips.

As I say above, the idea that the Essendon players and those in the football department had no idea what Dank was doing is completely and utterly ridiculous. It's a fantasy.

The texts to Hird about players injections, who was in the program and what drugs would be administered next prove this.

And it's why not one of those involved, nor the players union have squeezed Dank for info.

The real sadness I feel about the whole saga is that the *scum haven't been shut down. Wound up. Wiped from existence. Forgotten. Which is what they deserved.

Total institutional annihilation would have been the only just punishment.

But it was not to be. A man can dream, can't he?

Look on the bright side, once the players lose their appeal the court cases will be on the horizon.

A slow death and further turmoil is not out of the question.
