We can easily win at least 15 of those games, with the remaining games still win-able if we put out our best 22.

Not sure what to think about the ANZAC day timing. I guess I'll have to wait and see before I can judge. A 4-day break does seem too little, but we are playing Port the week before so we can use that to our advantage.

Bring on 2012!

If my memory serves me correctly, when we played a Wednesday ANZAC day game in 2007, both the Bombers and us played on the previous Saturday afternoon. We copped Port Adelaide in the pouring rain at the MCG and we lost (Port made the GF that year), while Essendon played St. Kilda (who didn't make finals) under the roof at Telstra Dome and had a comfortable win.

Back in the days when we couldn't buy a win against Essendon, we won by 16 points.:thumbsu:

I wouldn't buy too much into the "we have the easier game" line of reasoning.

Both Essendon and us have a 4 day turn around....in my opinion it is therefore fair. Really the teams playing us later should be complaining...we have 10 day break and I think, Essendon has 11 day break.

I like our draw, except maybe a little heavy weighted on travelling in the back end; main reason that annoys me is I either have to travel or watch on tv....but I do actually like playing potentially harder teams twice.

Collingwood has a nine day break, not ten. After our third home game of the season, we will play the Bulldogs (Away game) on Friday week (May 4) at Etihad Stadium. The Bombers will have a ten day break before they face Brisbane at the same venue on the following afternoon (May 5).
