Brownlow Medallist
Drew Petrie is well known for being a downhill skiier, scoring heavily against cellar dwellers but failing to have an impact against the top sides. This is so extreme that in 2012, he came close to winning the Coleman medal with 57 goals for the season, but only 8 of them came against sides inside the top 8.
Given this, it seems that Petrie's performance from week to week is a good indicator of whether the opposition team is likely to make the finals. If Drew kicks 2 goals or more, they can forget about September. If not, lock em in!
Round 1: 0 goals v Essendon - finals bound!
Round 2: 2 goals v Western Bulldogs - have September off boys
Round 3: 0 goals v Port Adelaide - lock them in Eddie
Round 4: 1 goal v Sydney - well done Swannies
Round 5: 0 goals v Collingwood - let the Colliwobbles begin
Round 6: 2 goals v Fremantle - from runners up to missing finals!
Round 7: 1 goal v Gold Coast - the Suns make the 8 for the first time!
Round 8: Bye
Round 9: 1 goal 4 behinds v Brisbane - less than 2 goals but 5 scoring shots, jury is out
Round 10: 3 goals v Geelong - Junk time king at work, jury is out
Round 11: 2 goals v West Coast - another disappointing year for the Eagles
Round 12: 4 goals v Richmond - what a terrible year for the Tiges
Round 13: 1 goal v Adelaide - Crows looking good!
Round 14: 1 goal 5 behinds v Melbourne - dominant just inaccurate, not looking good for the Dees
Round 15: 4 goals v Brisbane - Drew's best game of the year, Brisbane are definitely out
Drew's 2014 Ladder:
