Dusty Lyrics

Play "I Only Want To Be…"
on Apple Music
"I Only Want To Be With You"

I don't know what it is that makes me always want watch you so
I only know I never want to see you go to North
'Cause you've started something
Oh, can't you see?
That ever since You came to Tigerland at pick three
You've had a hold on me
It happens to be true
I only want you to be a Tiger

It doesn't matter where you play or what you do
I want to spend each moment of the day watching you
Oh, look what has happened with just one kick
I never knew that I could be in love like this
It's crazy but it's true
I only want to watch you

You stopped and smiled at Danger
And asked if he’d care to join you on the big dance
He fell and dropped his arms and s**t
His pants
And didn't stand a chance
Now listen Danger
Dusty can play everywhere
As long as he’s a Tiger , I don't care
'Cause Dusty started something
Oh, can't you see?
That ever since you’ve came to Tigerland at pick three
You've had a hold on me
No matter what you do
I only want to watch you

Oh, oh, you stopped and you smiled at Greene
And asked if he’d care to join you on the big dance
He tried to eye gouge you , but ran and s**t his pants
And didn't stand a chance
Now let me tell you Toby
Dusty can play everywhere
As long as he’s a Tiger, I don't care
'Cause he started something
Oh, can't you see?
That ever since he came to Tigerland at pick three
He’s had a hold on me
No matter what you do
I only want to watch you
I said no matter, no matter what you do
I only want to watch you

mate you spin it how ever you like i disagree.
Whats fj got to do with it? fmd your joking arent ya.We are talking about recruiting and fj was the man in charge at the time we are talking about.
You know the debate we are having about how lucky we had pick three and not pick one or two. your unbelievable.
Fj you know he was in charge at the time oh but wait i suppose he still only part time and can be forgiven lmfao. His record is lousy who do you think he would have taken if he had picks one or two isnt that what we are talking about/ Get with the debate mate.

There was a massive clean out and even the senior coach can count his lucky stars that he stayed. There was even a potential spill of the entire club fmd you really do like revising history.
Until the end of 2016 we were in turmoil board challenges a total lack of success under a bloke and coaching group who had been there 7 yrs where were you living under a rock. There was a total reliance on a handful of players most of whom were taken before 2010.

Fair enough we have won a couple of flags but what i dont get by the younger generations is this constant revisionism of painting a picture of always being spot on.
So back in 2009 when we drafted Dusty dont give me bullshit about us being so great with development et al.
Dont give me bullshit about us developing dusty either, hes a once in a generation player who would have flourished at any club.Trengove and scully well not even rfc post 2016 would have saved trengoves career and scully is what he is a better version of Ellis when fit.

Spin?
My point, which was crystal clear, was that our development would have delivered better outcomes with Scully and Trengove than Melb. And Dusty the opposite. Draft picks are overrated. Ask Leigh Matthews. And look at all our rookies, pre season picks that became premiership players. That’s evidence mate, not opinion or spin.
You are wrong and have been for years on this stuff, so I understand you emotional response.
Total spill? Board challenge? Lol. It was funny then but for you to give it credibility now illustrates your perspective beautifully.

Dusty was a natural talent and only needed development as a person and not a footballer. He was a freak man child and his footy was his passion growing up. He was killing it in his first season and look up Malthouse’s comments regarding him if you can’t recall any of his first years footage. We still had big gaps in our FD up until 2016 and the results prove that. Also why did the club make so many changes after 16 and waste tens of thousands of dollars on a review? It’s funny how you conveniently miss out on the details and only look at only the end point.
I remember in early 17 my mate from QLD called me and told me to back the Tigers to make the eight bc we looked amazing in the preseason camp and Caracella had our midfield group burning and the group had a completely different mindset to 16 . I asked him what KDH was doing and he replied he was doing ruck drills with Hampson as well as working with other players who had come off the injury list. Balme and Caracella were the two most influential people to our success and the rest just grew around them. We’re all better for it now as KDH is a Harvard Scholar in the coaching ranks and has no more use for that rocking chair in his man cave.
FJ was unpredictable with his picking as he would have late dreams of a player not initially on his radar and change his pick at the death. Heppel was training at PRO before the draft and was ear marked as a future Tiger then in the last hour he takes Conca. Casino Jackson was heavily assisted afterwards and remarkably we were nailing our later picks better than our earlier ones.

haha. You’ve always wanted Hardwick sacked. Now you’ve been forced into feint praise with two flags stuffed down your throat.
You keep bringing up Harvard. Why? You don’t really understand what that story is now, do you?

Lmfao

What "but"?

"Fair enough we have won a couple of flags" is the most mopsy quote ive ever read, unbelievable

Well your point would be wrong and your talking about development when the debate was about weather we would have taken one of Scully or Trengove if we had pick one or two. That most certainly is recruitment.
and you cant tell the difference you aint that stupid are ya.
Get with the program bud you make having a decent sensible debate very hard to have when your all over the shop like this.
I suppose its nothing new you moving the goal posts when your getting belted in a debate.

LOL so IYO way back in 2009 thru 2016 we would have developed Trengove and Scully better than Melbourne when from 2009 to 2016 we were just as big a rabble. Oh and Dusty was developed by our club what a lot of crock. As just about every poster would say Dusty was a once in a generation player and would have been just as good as he is now at what ever club he went to.

Like i said. board challenges, coaches being sacked left right and centre, footy dept overhauls, poor on field results, no finals wins still.Oh but wait your response to all these things they didnt happen or didnt matter LOL thats gold and tells us all about the way you think. It would be funny but its not okay to live in total denial and only want to remember the roses and forget about the thorns.

I tell you what you live in that happy place we call ga ga land and revise history to suit your emotional shortcomings, the rest of us will deal with reality. But in the future keep to the topic or even better just keep out of the conversations unless you have something decent and accurate to say and can stay on topic.

Another simple response from you who’s always ignoring the facts and history.
You’re like those German politicians trying to rewrite education books telling future kids WWI and WWII didn’t happen.
You can deflect as much as you like, but the truth is KDH was a broken man by 2016 , so much Mrs DH said it was affecting his performance in the bedroom. Probably bc he spent so many hours stewing on the rocking chair. By avoiding the full history you’re actually underselling the remarkable qualities of your BIL as to get up from the ground to rise to the top is a wonderfull achievement and shows that the bloke has grit and determination as well as the ability to adapt.

Okay, nothing stays the same and this team can still keep going for a while yet. The question is, what do we do with Dusty? Do we keep his role the same? Do we increase his time forward and try to get more midfield depth in? What would you guys like to see?

Play him forward more and bring in more midfield depth.

You can see oppo defenders shitting themselves when they are left one out with Dusty in the F50
