Given Leroy's age, it may not be a very serious one. Young muscles can twinge without tearing or straining, and given his lack of discomfort in coming off the ground and the medical staff's decision not to ice it, I'm hoping on that being the case.

Either way, I wouldn't expect see to see him next week. Possibly a chance for the week after.

I'd probably say 2-3 weeks with Knights not playing anyone unless they're 100% fit

Yeah i was thinking when i saw it happen, that there is no way he would have been able to dispose of the ball the way he did, with a change of direction no less if it was a full blown hamstring. They did also comment that he was doing a bit of jogging around the boundary. I'm guessing it will be 3 weeks before we see him, 2 weeks probably needed then 1 for precaution and to let him get to full fitness or closer to. It's a real shame though, i really loved his game, his defensive work was fantastic and when he gets the ball offensively he is all class. I can't wait til he builds up the tank even further and pushes into the midfield.

This is getting to me as well. Just gutted...

Gumbleton, Neagle, Dempsey, Jetta, Myers, Hocking...etc

Even Hislop last year and also now this year, and Daniher this year. It's like we are cursed.

Young first or second year players getting injuries, especially soft tissue injuries. Why does it only happen to us? Feel so gutted. Thought we could get a lot of games and game time into this group this year.

Neagle or Hocking have not had hamstrings.

Neither did Hislop last year or this year and not Daniher this year.

If you think about it it's obvious why first and second year players get soft tissue injuries and it isn't just happening to us.

Srry, I meant injuries in general to our young players (and especially soft tissue injuries) in the last two years. I know the players you mentioned didn't have hamstrings.

Hislop (Stress fracture / wrist injury)
Daniher (Shoulder)
Hocking (Groin strain)
Neagle (Foot)
Davey (Broken arm)
Gumbleton (Hamstring)
Dempsey (Hamstring)
Myers (Hamstring)
Jetta (Groin / Hamstring)

Not blaming anyone for the injuries:(...Just the evil force :D

Just seem to be happening only at Essendon. Even if there are injuries at other clubs, not to this extend. And not to so many of their young guns.

The Doctors , Coaches etc had better look at what the players are doing .
The Bombers can not afford to go along the road like the Saints re hammies and soft tissue injuries.

Ok, lets have a look at our injured players:
Myers
Lucas
Jetta
Dempsey
Hocking
Hislop
Gumby
All the bolded players are expected to return within 2-4 weeks so it's not that bad. Lucas of course is gone for 10 and no one knows for sure with Hocking.

lonergan, mcveigh, winderlick and probably mal out now with soft tissue injuries, something needs to be done with john quin, either he isnt doing his job or knights has worked the team way too hard over the pre season and has the whole team pretty much spent by round 3..

Why do our good players always get injured. Mcveigh going down tonight really hurt us. I think we should piss john quinn off and get someone new. Just as we were getting on a F$%#EN roll, 3 injuries in 15 mins for f$%ks sake. Gee in shattered

Re: Mcveigh has done a hammy !

Hey guys, I am currently watching the game on delayed telecast in Perth. Do any of you know in what quarter McVeigh does his hamstring?

I really dislike McVeigh so I will get alot of amusement from watching him get injured.
You are a deadset ____wit:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
