Extremely unmotivated to exercise right now. When I finish work, all I want to do is crawl into bed and stay warm. Tiredness is an issue too.
Have put on 5kgs in the past month, but still fit into all my clothes so not a huge issue atm.

Any ideas to motivate oneself, esp during this depressing as **** weather, please post away.

Have you tried eating cement?

Do you have any advice on running?

I hate the people who go to the gym to socialise. They're too busy talking to their friends, not using the equipment and when you go to use the equipment they immediately stop you to say "I'm still using that"
You've never stepped inside a gym in your life spindles.

I find smoking crack makes me run around a bit.
Get a lot of mundane housework and chores done very quickly as well.
It can be an expensive way to achieve fitness though.
Not great for cardio either, but it keeps you thin and active especially when everyone else is catching z's.

Ah yes I have. Been going 2-3 times a week for the past 12 months.

My gym doesn't have a punching bag though, care to volunteer?

I'll spar with you :D

How should a person start Exorcising with a zero base? Is there some kind of spirit guide I should be reading to preserve my joints? Or am I sweet to just jump in head first?
Take a towel, because through intensive study i have found there is a high chance you'll get covered in pea soup during your first exorcism.

You mean "ectoplasm" right?

My older brother got me into running a couple of years ago - probs just to keep him company lol. I hate it but still try to go with him most nights but when we moved to Melbz, we all of a sudden had a massive aquatic centre like 5 minutes away so at the start of the year I took up swimming as exercise and I love it. I usually do between 300 and 500 meters every other arvo after school. One of my younger brothers has started coming with me once a week maybe twice but I don't know if he will stick with it yet. Its so good 'cause when I am done it kinda feels like I have been lifting weights and running at the same time.
300-500m? That should be a warm up at the bare minimum if you want to actually gain something from swimming.

I don't have that much time after school and it's just for exercise/recreation/activity, I don;t want to swim competitively/professionally.

My english mate used to say swim lengths not laps. Did 20 lengths today. We took the piss out of him a lot for that. Then i thought about it and realised technically he is right. Still sounds ridiculous though .
