Gysberts had and still has a shit attitude. High draft pick wasted that was shown the door and is now playing Vs Petterd in the VFL for Werribee.

Perhaps, but surely it's up to the coaches to get these guys heads in order. There are many great footballers who had to sort out their attitude problems.

I'm just surprised Jesse Hogan hasn't requested a trade yet.

Won't get a chance to. Will be the first player ever to be delisted by a club before he's been enlisted.

What exodus is this? The one being beat up by the media that is based on their own opinions and 'can't name' sources supposedly close to the club?

Would likely be referring to that, yeah.

Unless Caro's suddenly started reading the Bible...

I know you choose to ignore me nowadays, but when did 2 ever qualify as an exodus? (if in fact either of the two leave, or both)
Who says I choose to ignore you? Easy to miss things when you have 20 quoted posts a day or whatever. It's bloody May, and we have reports of Frawley, Sylvia, Watts wanting out - this isn't trade time.

Show me a quote or report of them wanting out.

That's just media speculation and bullshit. A la port. Or the mfc the last few years...

If Jack wants to go then he can... We have enough forward stock and our key position backs are ok. We have created positions for him since day one. I would much prefer a trade for a midfielder. I think Terlich and Strauss can covers Watts disposal off half back.

Frawley is another matter.. We cannot let this man go.. He is a star and undervalued due to our poor performances. If we are to be any good in the next few years we need him here.

Good chance for the group to put their hands up to help push the club forward, anyone looking for the door can be escorted towards it..

This is certainly a media beat-up, based on interest in the few players on our list who do have some currency, but i feel Jack may go..

As Cloke discussions continue with Collingwood, the Dockers have become the first interstate club to make a genuine play for the powerhouse forward.
The Dockers have spoken to Cloke's manager, his father David. Talks are in their infancy.
Cloke is at the top of the Dockers' free-agent hit list.

Adelaide have joined the hunt for Collingwood's All-Australian key forward Travis Cloke, whose contract negotiations with the Magpies have been put on hold until the end of the AFL season.
The move by the Crows has heightened speculation that Adelaide key forward Kurt Tippett could be headed home to Queensland to play for Brisbane.
Melbourne, Richmond, Fremantle, Carlton and Greater Western Sydney are also chasing Cloke.

Now yes, it’s only February. If either player is going to be a Giant next year it won’t be announced until September or October. But GWS had a window at the end of last year to sign uncontracted players.
Said list manager Stephen Silvagni in November: “Look, we’re speaking to the managers right at the minute and we have the ability to sign them now.”
It’s entirely plausible that one of Pendlebury and Goddard has already agreed to become a Giant.

North Melbourne midfielder Ryan Bastinac puts contract talks on hold as a move to GWS Giants looms

Bastinac, 20, has said he wants to stay at North, but will remain on the GWS radar until he re-signs.
Wow, we really must be a rabble if we're being talked about this early in the year, just like teams such as Collingwood, St Kilda, North and every other side that's ever had a shitty article written about some player whose contract is up at the end of the season.

I've always had the feeling that Neeld isn't a fan of Watts and will see a similar path as Gysberts, Morton and Cook, traded or delisted for next to nothing. I would hate to see one of my favorite players star at another club when we are hoping the 4th round draft pick we got for him turns out to an ok fringe player.

Any interest from rival clubs for Gillies?? Please.... someone.... Vossy....

Unfortunately Vossy won't be coaching BL next year... they're having an exodus in Brisbane at the moment...

Logger - great, great post. It's easy to be sucked in by the media and the dribble they produce, but it happens each and every year.

We are simply an easy target right now and, because we are crap, everyone assumes we want to leave. It's an easy angle to take and an easy angle for the general public to eat up.

Whatever happened to 'if it is to be, it is up to me?' Seriously, at some point some of these blokes need a kick up the arse and realise it's not being handed to them on a silver platter.

Oh and as for Gillies, let's be thankful it was a 1-year deal.

Nevertheless, the AFL are going to step in if/when Neeld is sacked. Let's be realistic, it's not a good look for them having the worst club have anyone who is any good leaving after they've pumped all this cash into two new clubs. They'll assist in the coaching appointment, they'll give us a priority pick and help 'encourage' assistant coaches to come our way.

As sad as it is, i'm afraid its come to this.. Would love if the AFL could convince Simon Black to be our midfield coach next year... WOW!!

Not meaning to be disrespectful but if there is any truth to that article (which there may not be) what would you want or expect as a trade for Watts? Imo his currency is now quite low.
Considering there are 8 clubs apparently after him, that would indicate to me his value has a bit of currency, 8 clubs don't go after someone after round 8 if they think he's an average player, what would be your best offer for him be?

He'll go for a first-round trade or a top mid.

Would rather lose Frawley then Watts, not a shadow of a doubt in my mind.

Insanity. With a half decent midfield as support Chip would be, once again, a premier defender in the league. I love Watts but he hasn't shown anything close to what Chip has.

Chip doesn't want to be at the club IMO, I've watched him pretty closely and some of his efforts for a senior player and a leader are bordering on comical - he's got great trade value to go get a midfielder or quality first rounder.

Watts, we have so much more to lose.
