Certainly has gone through a transition.

Feels like it's reaching a conclusion. Not sure how there is space for a season 4 in the story.

Depends on what story they decide to tell in regards to the protomolecule.

I quite enjoyed the ending. Still seems to be many mysteries about the protomolecule and its purpose.
The ring seemed like more a weapon to me than a portal or wormhole to another place. The sequence near the end where it fired on that sun and caused it to change was intriguing.

I honestly thought ep 10 was the season finale, Derrr me. But...

I guess Holden at the very end did confirm my suspicions of the ring, it's a weapon. The Asian woman getting revenge for her father on Holden was a bit of go nowhere subplot IMO. But I did find the banter on the belters ship between the captain and 1st mate stuck in those machines entertaining.

So i just finished watching the latest episode....it was two episodes in one....episode 12 and 13 together. That's it. The end of season 3.

Fascinating end. It certainly leaves the door open for a LOT of different avenues to pursue in season 4.

James S.A. Corey is best known to fans as the writer behind numerous science fiction masterpieces, like Leviathan Wakes, the first novel in The Expanse series, and the Star Wars novel Honor Among Thieves. As it turns out, James S.A. Corey is actually the pseudonym for two writers, Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck.

It turned into stargate at the end.

Just finished it after managing to space it out over four days.

Best scifi series on TV at the moment imo. And apparently S4 is based on the weakest book in the series, very much looking forward to S5.

Can clearly see the effects of a bigger budget, some of the shots are stunning. Many of the characters are well written and acted - Murtry and Ashford in particular are highlights. Alex doesn't get much progression but Amos, Holden and Naomi get chances to shine.

gaskin don't miss it.

Finished S4 tonight. That was damn fine sci fi TV. Can't wait for S5.

There's been a gap since possibly the Stargate franchise that maybe The Expanse can fill - an actual decent and well-produced sci fi series with strong writing and nuanced political and social undertones. Certainly been a lot of short-lived trash in the meantime. Glad that Amazon resurrected it too.

I won't. I'll get around to it after I finish The Witcher.

did a mass binge last few days -spewing got no more to watch for now :)
Not sure what s04e07 was all about with it being narrated- was it just a recap? didnt really think it was neccessary and just filler

That's the blindness disease episode right? There's no narration - are you sure you're talking about the same thing? I thought it was quite good with the crew as usual trying to put out the spot fires so they can resolve the bigger issue later. Also had some good ambiguous development of Murtry.

Just finished season 4. It delivered and is set up for a huge season 5. Great show. Burn Gorman (Karl Tanner of Gin Alley) was a great addition. Just wanna say David Strathairn and Cara Gee do a great job in their respective roles as Ashford and Drummer. Favourite space sci fi thing i've seen maybe since Battlestar Galactica. Love the shows vision a lot. Can't wait till the next season.
