That's right people, the player touted by the Hawks as the greatest player since Gary Ablett SNR had an awesome game at his teams home ground against an average opponent in the game that probably decided the Hawks fate for 2009. Box Hill material..

A similar set of stats as Ablett Snr in each of his last two GF appearances.

I can now understand the comparisons.

Hi again.

Well it's been another thoroughly disappointing week for the HodgePodge.

First, I find out that Michael Owen has made the move to Manchester United. After starting his career at Liverpool, this is one transfer that teeters on the edge of pure blasphemy.

Second, my Hawks go down. And boy, did they go down hard. What was it 88 points to 4 at half time? That's pathetic even for a junior grade side. I remember being in the side that beat Eltham 105-0 back in the 90s, and I have to say they put up a bigger fight than the Hawks.

And last but not least. The biggest letdown of them all.

The calibre of the Bay13 anti-Hawk trolls.

Certainly, I realise that the combined brainpower of the B13 elite is barely sufficient to run a solar powered calculator, but even so, I have to shake my head in contempt.

I urge you all to pool your collective mediocrity and try to do better.
