That's just a suppression order though. I doubt he's calling the cops and saying, "hey, someone came into my shop and uttered the words Bevan von Einem". I doubt the suppression order covers him for that. We know he has a crack lawyer. Maybe he has been strong to the detectives involved that they have to act if his client is harassed and threatened. He probably calls them up and says he's being harassed in front of customers.

He's just got a good lawyer and a suppression order. While that gives him a level of protection, I don't think we can assume he's "being protected".
So you agree that he has same kind of protection which is all I have stated this hole time . I told you he was a witness and because he made a statement about seeing a boy passed out in bve car he is . The suppression orders dose not stop the press from talking to him about the case yet if they do he calls the cops and they rock up why ??? That is protection if you ask me .

Nope.

My first point is this - you're using the word "protection", other posters, particularly new ones think there's some sort of witness protection scheme going on.

You've said that police told you he's a "protected witness". I don't buy this. They could have told you this to get you to back off. You could have pooca'd it. Both more likely options than he was a "protected witness". That sounds like it was pooca'd too.

The only way I think he's protected is he has a gun lawyer with a suppression order.

Correct Jez, Mr R and his solicitor have worked the system (legally) to keep Mr R name supressed.

The place is like Fort Knox now..Drive around the back on the dirt road into his rear car park and it's the same..Cameras are everywhere and from what I am told ,he watches them from his nearby home..He only comes to the store when someone genuine presses the buzzer and is allowed in..

I have never used the words witness protection . Not ones !!! I said you can not talk about the case as he is a witness and is under protection from that . That’s what TK told me . Now as I have said all along if you say bve name or talk about the case to him he calls the cops and they show up . If people talk about the case to me and I called the cops they would hung up on me . What would you call that ???

If you read my posts again, you will see I'm pretty clear that you haven't used the words "witness protection". I have however pointed out that by using the word "protection", others have interpreted this as meaning "witness protection". This is how incorrect information starts. It's all innocent, but over time the wrong information gets locked in as "assumed knowledge". I notice you never clarified to people when they bounced back from your use of the word "protection" with "witness protection".

Chinese Whisper
noun

Inaccurately transmitted gossip. 'Chinese whispers' refers to a sequence of repetitions of a story, each one differing slightly from the original, so that the final telling bears only a scant resemblance to the original.

While we're on the subject of definitions;

pedophilia to refer to the primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children (approx under 12)
hebephilia to refer to the sexual preference for earlier pubescent individuals (approx 12-14)
ephebophilia to refer to the sexual preference for mid-to-late adolescents (approx 14 - 18)

I notice you recently brought up the names Liddy, Marshall etc as potentially having involvement. All the research shows is that these people weren't involved. They weren't in BVE's social network, and they weren't interested in the boys of the same age. BVE's main group were ephebophiles - they were primarily interested in youths between 14 - 20. Liddy and Marshall were paedophiles - they were primarily interested in pre-pubescent boys. Both illegal for good reason, but very different. The people they perv on and they porn they look at is almost mutually exclusive. Both groups are predators, but they were targeting different demographics.

Re-read what I said . I said liddy were not involved but did know bve . You take one little pice of what I said and change it to suit yourself . The line under what I said is “ dose this make them killers? No “ again I have not used the words witness protection yet you keep saying it as if I have . As I have stated you can not talk about the case to dr and if you do he calls the cops and they rock up . That to me and a lot of people here would be classed as same form of protection . Now what would you call it if not protection ?

One of the judgements states that Mark Langley was last seen 150m east of the Adelaide Rowing Club in War Memorial Drive.
after looking in to this further I saw that the Adelaide Rowing Club is actually on the south side of the river adjacent the weir. However, the Adelaide University Rowing Club is on War Memorial Drive on the north side of the river.
If Mark was dropped 150m that puts him virtually at the footbridge. His friends retuned only a few minutes later and couldn’t find him. This suggests that he probably crossed the footbridge and started to head towards town via Victoria Srive and then either Kintore Ave or King William Rd. And this takes him right towards the number 1 beat.

He was potentially seen at 4am walking on Hackney Rd towards the city. If true, this suggests he started walking towards home (maybe along WMD, maybe he cut through and walk up Melbourne St) and at some point thought he was better off getting into the city and waiting for the first bus.

I am in bed early and I am watching a YouTube vid on the "Family Murders".In this scene, the supposed Mr B is being interviewed..I wonder if he looked like this back in the day?
They do tend to try to closely match re-enactment actors with suspect descriptions. These are stills form the 60 mins episode. Wo are these guys meant to resemble?;

Beardy Man seems to take the spotlight but he can be seen in the back seat, so it suggests he's not meant to be Bevan. Who had a beard back then? Denzel was not know for travelling in BVE's car. Mr R? LT?

And who's the young good looking guy with long hair rolling a blunt meant to be? Mr B?

Is this Millhouse?

Sort of looks like him. Sort of looks like Manock as well. But this is a highly questionable piece of home journalism, and is probably a random image found on the web:

That looks like a very American stock photo to me. Crisp lab coat, pen in pocket, multiple badges. Never seen a Dr in Aus looking like that.

Happy to be corrected though if someone can confirm it's him.

Where did you locate the 60 minutes show of 1988, JezMez?
It was spliced into City of Evil.

I wonder how they obtained the footage?

60 mins was actually reputable back then. They had access to one of the rape victims. I don't believe they wouldn't have asked their source to describe his abductors and then look for actors who matched their description. I don't think they would have had an actor with a beard if the source said everyone was clean shaven. The guy in the glasses looks like it may have been a match for BVE. They guy with the beard? Pussy perhaps? Maybe LT had a beard back then?
