The Farmer Incident..

Surely it was only a matter of time before someone "caught up " with Farmer,he is the dirtiest player (after Fletcher ) in the AFL, IMO he goes for the man or the ball, preferably the man...I have not the slightest sympathy for the guy.

Farmer has no recollection of the incident, how was he supposed to tell his team mates to sort someone out if he doesn't know what happened?

The bench was aware of what had happened, the commentators stated the dockers bench was "not happy at all with baker". The problem was noone on our team was willing to "fly the flag" and fight back.

What really annoys me about this situation is the fact that we all pay our season membership to be entertained, to me there is no one in the game that entertains me more than Jeff Farmer.

Jeff himself robbed me/us of 12 of those weeks, injury a few more weeks and now he gets hit in the face behind play and will probably miss another game. Yet the AFL won't be able to protect or punish the parties involved........ on both sides of this situation who in the end suffers? Yet who in the end keeps this league alive?

A crows supporter to chicks--t to list his team.
Wow - thanks for the quality post. It makes no sense at all. :o

Will you get over yoursel(f...ves... whatever you feel is appropriate)

The actual quote from the articulate Christy Malthouse was " I have spoken to the Dockers bench and they are ..... very .....not happy with Steven Baker". (she is from the un-respected end of the gene pool)

Now if she cant get it right what chance do you two have.

I understand the heroic "fly the flag" line you are trotting out but unless there was a clear chance to take Baker out legally I would much rather the 18 players on the ground concentrate on trying to win the game because as your esteemed colleague pointed out this incident happened in the third qtr.

From tonights news reports some FFC players are still unsure as to what happened.

Baker will get his....... as Daniel Chick got his.

We've turned full circle. Video evidence came in merely to support reports, now incidents slip by because it wasn't seen by a camera.

Good point. Imagine that was applied outside of footy.
Baker deserves to get done for it and he will.

He's been charged by The AFL, foolish one...:o;)

Farmer off the Ball Incident
. . . The bloke next to me at the game - a Dockers fan BTW - reckons they were grappling with each other - pulling and pushing at each other - all tangled up. They momentarily broke from each other, but all awkward and out of balance. Farmer pushed away, then as Baker started to pedal backwards to follow the flight of the ball/play, Farmer lunged forward and ran straight into the back of Bakers head face first. The bloke next to me let out a 'Oooohh That's gotta hurt' as it happened, and that's when I looked up to see Farmer on the ground. Baker was following the play and had a go at marking the next kick from memory. I have a distinct memory of him having a quick look at Farmer on the ground before getting on with it. So sorry to all who want someone's blood other than our Jeffrey's . . . It could well be that it was just one of those things that happen . . . "

.Cheers, mate.:D:D:D:thumbsu:

Was that before or after Jeffrey slipped on a banana peel and a cream pie hit him in the face?
