Unrelated, but Fas has been much much better than Elliott in the second half of this year.

Not at all, was good for his development even though it didn't really work out on the field. Ever since he had his stint at half back, he's rounded off his game and been key in applying defensive pressure. And now he's starting to get back the offensive flair he had in his first year to go along with it. Very dangerous player, is Fas.

Reckon Faz was one of the guys (with Seedsman) that Maxy exhorted to **** stand up at last year's Copeland. And he has.

He's had 2 years wrecked with feet injuries, he's copped flack for basically being injured.

I noticed him showing the love after goals this week, especially Reid's first. So that's a plus. I think he isn't 100% still to be honest.

The idea of Fas staying at home in the forward line bothered me once upon a time, not too long ago. I couldn't help but think that he needed to do more, especially given how skilful a player he is.

But I agree that he is a natural forward, and that any other role beyond the forward line is quite unnatural for him. He plays his best footy in the forward line, and so long as he's at (or near) his best, then that's enough. He seems to have got his head around the notion of accountability, and the need to apply pressure in the forward line, and he's so much more dangerous because of it.
