Haha, i'm at a stage where i've considered every player that has remote upside.
same. Ive probably had in total about 50 players in my team at some stage. Like i said last night, i got home today and saw the teams and rejigged my team again. Its not set however. Ill be waiting on the Goddard inclusion tomorrow and if he isnt there ill have to make more changes. Start of the season is the most fun for Dream Team. The rest of the season is a procession in comparison :)

the goddard rumour got to me and i rejigged my team about 50 times but just said **** it and gone back to what it was with goddard
how did the goddard rumour even get going?

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm heckin' over it. Team finalised with emergencies in place in case of the obvious disasters.

If Goodard is out, hopefully he will only miss 1 match. I only pencilled him in for 80 this week anyway, so hopefully my emergency can score 60 odd. I do think it is a farce though - it's probably down to managing workloads etc.

I'm done - and surprisingly not too stressed about selections tomorrow.

even if a rookie doesn't get selected - i know that they will at some stage barring injury

actually have a bit of cash left over ($74k) that i can't see value in spending.

Have a somewhat unique midfield with perhaps gibbs being the only regular.

Im not sure on Goddard now. He's never played a full season, and this soft-tissue injury (even if its only a rumour) has me running. The coach didnt exactly dismiss it with conviction either. Fisher on the other hand has missed 2 games in the last 3 seasons, and was the highest scoring back last year. Im going with the security of Fisher to start with, will bring Gods in at some stage during the year.

And this midfield role might not be great for him. Certainly didnt work for Adcock. Hopefully he starts slowly, I can get him cheap then he storms home, taking me to the car. :D :thumbsu:

hodges, relax

every year there's a false rumour on a big DT name (last year - Stevens)
it's probably just some scurrilous guy (who fancies his DT chances) trying to stop the good DT players from buying Goddard.

this has me thinking too. But what happens if we drop him from the side and all of a sudden he plays on Saturday and tears it up.

it appears i'll have a nervous wait tomorrow.

with Coughlan missing, i'm gonna need Rich + Anthony/Beams on the field. i can always alter 1 to Robinson if that falls through.

my 7th forward is under pressure too. i'll need 1 from Sidebottom/Thompson/Hogan. backup plan is Walker, Ballantyne (if he's availbable), Grant, a few others. i'm staying away from Garlett though.

Browne ahead of Graham :(:(:( (i'm sticking with Graham)

i'm taking Scotland with me too (whose a bit iffy). didn't want Fisher - it would've meant my 2 most exp backs are St Kilda players - and i just can't have that !!

The points are still valid though. He is pretty injury prone at this stage of his career, and you generally want your season starters to be durable.

audacious, i reckon if you've got Stephen Hill as your 8th back you should definitely be gambling on Goddard.

that's why i'm taking C.Cornes this year (and punting on Scotland & Goddard)

Hill is my 8th back. But like you said - my 2 most expensive backs are St kilda players!!

BTW, whats wrong with Garlett?

Hey i will make this quick!!
One spot remaining in my midfield... seriously who would all of you select:

G.Ablett, J.Corey, J.Bartel ----- and is Brad Green good value?
Also in my forward line I have one spot left and can't seperate J.Brown, M.Stokes or B.Johnson!!
What should i do here......

Nobody debuting for Geelong/Bulldogs apparently. So I'd keep away from Hogan/Grant from now.

Walker and Mitch Brown are your safest bets it seems. However their DT scoring capacity might not be as great as the others.

Exactly what I did today, a quick flip to Fisher..

I am having most trouble deciding on the 2 rookie backs the most, currently have siting there Hill/Petrenko/Broughton, not overly convinced tho.

:(:(:(

i'm committed to Hogan - he stays - (ahhhhhhhhh well)

Wade Thompson is the iffy one atm. if he plays, he stays.
if he's not there - i'll need to pull a quick move before the system goes gangbusters.

im feeling a little bit more secure with my team. After copping so many zeros last year ive gone conservative with only 13 keepers and starting only 1 rookie in the midfield. Got some quality bench players in all positions but my potential to score big seems to lack.

Oh well, the pain of getting a donut every week for a month or more is still fresh in my memory of last season and i dont want to repeat it.

Tonight is my last chance to play with the team really and take the time to go through different combinations. Will get home tomorrow with 2 hours before lockout but as we all know it will get laggy as hell. Whatever i decide before i sleep tonight will be it, and im not confident of good scores :(

Funny how much a team can change in 24 hours. Just had a major reshuffle and I'm liking my team a lot more now.

I'm convinced I've got 20/22 set in stone. Only decision is Newman/Dempsey v Drummond/Nicoski.
