Deledio forward or mid? Give me a good explanation as to why please.

Serious? Forward no contest.
Why? Because midfield keepers are expected to avg 95-100ppg due to the higher scoring options available.

Forward keepers only need 85-90ppg to be a keeper. As such if you can get a 100ppg it will mean more in the forwards than the midfield.

ruckmen tend to take 3-4 years or longer before they start racking uo the dt points. looks at cox's or simmonds or sandilans stats. they all took 3-5 years before the avg'd 80+.

i reckon your one gun short in the mids i would downgrade fisher or goddard to possibly drummond then upgrade haselby to possibly gibbs if have enough. yeh didak is overpriced, trade him for gia..birchall has been solid in pre season he is still a good pick at his price ..swift and beams are your best 2 rookies there..

Remember, that it is highly likely you will want all three of ABC in your final team, so to start with 4 keepers, of which none of them are ABC, means IMO your not thinking much about your final team - remember to start with the end in mind (at least somewhat anyway).

My reasons for starting with such a strong midfield is that my strategy this year is too go weak with my backs as I see alot of the current premium backs dropping price before they start putting games together. If this plan fails and delays the rest of my trades I will still be raking in the points with my midfield, to account for the fact my backline is in the shiit.

What do you think of this?

wow i disagree with everything you said here haha.

He already has 3 guns in the mid, sure none of them are the preffered ABC but soild top 10 choices none the less (swan, cornes, selwood). Get rid of fisher/ goddard thats crazy talk, to a drummond? No way!

Trade haselby? hes a solid pick, you can't knock anyone for picking him. Why do you need 4 gun mids leaves you with no room to move when rookies come through.

I personally think dida is going to kill it this year after his problems last year, but hey just IMO

Unless you think birchell is braking out this year into the top 7 backs why pick him? i can't see him doing so....

swift and beams the best two? I rate mitch robinson, danny rich and liam anthony above those boys.

Oh well it wouldn't be DT if we didn't have differnces in opinion and thats why we love it

Thats it I've had enough, I've picked my squad and can't make any changes to it that improve it so I'm sticking with it. Stuff the Goddard rumours and the other assorted rumours that are bound to pop up in the next 23 hours between now and lockout. If my players aren't selected than too freaking bad for me. If I don't stop I fear that my head is going to explode.

I've finalised my squad unless someone isnt named... like Goddard.
But i've gone with the tactic of the ruck combination of Hille + Sandilands.
Personally I think that that combination will get me more points then the combination of Cox and McIntosh.. and its 30k cheaper; although I loose a captain choice.
Anyway, Cox is injured, but he will play.

Then with the last forward pick stokes, O'Keefe, brad johnson, jon brown or goodwin!!

I dont know about their pre seasons!
