We should make the GF from here with our finals draw IMO and i back us to win it against anyone other than Sydney. So i am tipping flag if Sydney lose their prelim.

So you see a Swans Cats GF?

Its a good chance.

What goes in our favour is adelaide is good enough to beat sydney at AO but then a good chance to go to water in a GF, we need to stay in as long as possible and hope the Crows/GWS knock sydney out.

Especially considering the fact that the crowies would be well rested while Sydney would have had to deal with 2 teams throwing everything at them. At Home, crowd/umps on their side they should get it done.

If we let the Tiges get a start with their crowd cheering them then I reckon they'll be hard to stop and we go out straight sets. We need to start well and quiet the crowd (in our home final) and if we do so, I reckon we make the Grand Final. If that's against Sydney, I'll be feeling physically ill as I enter the G on GF Day.

I'm tipping us for the flag, just because. I think we all know that we're capable of dishing up anything, either great or insipid over the next month. Hoping for the former as the finals draw has worked out perfectly for us if we play well.

So the corrupt AFL have made it a QF on a Friday night fixture at 7:50 pm to limit the number of Geelong members that attend (they'll probably lobby VLine to stop services too ?).

Why the **** isn't this a Saturday afternoon game FFS. ?

When Sydney was in the favor in GF, they lost two. I just hope it could be same case again this time, hehe.

We beat whatever in our way!!!

Why on earth would you want this on a Friday afternoon!? :drunk::huh:

I think he meant sat arvo.

I expect us to lose against Richmond as they will be fired up and the crowed will be absolutely deafening. They like to run and we will struggle to stop it on the G. If only this game was at SS :(.

Then my worst nightmare will come true in meeting the Swans in another final, which I'd give us a 10% chance of winning.

Hope the cats don't underestimate the tigers I know they struggle against us. But they're a good team this year who will be fired up with a big browd cheering them on. Cats still need to play at our best to win. I still think the biggest concern is having to face Sydney at some stage.
I'd leave Selwood out for the first final and bring him in for the next game which will be must win. There are 4 or 5 really good teams in with a good chance. But Sydney have a bit more going for them and really match up well against us.

3-1 Runners up is not possible.
Needs to be removed as an option.

My concerns are the loss of momentum post bye, Tigers are a very good team this year with a HOME final, and if we lost, a likely game v Swans.
In a 50-50 game, I err on the side of the home team, which then means 0-2 .

Looking at the path to the grand final, simply on paper we should go in favourites against both Richmond and GWS, with a 50/50 call against Adelaide if they get up in the prelim. Obviously being Geelong fans we expect the worst, but taking a step back and know what the side is capable of, the premiership window is very much open.

People have been saying this is the most even year we have seen in recent memory yet write us off when it comes to the flag. All of the planning and posturing by Chris Scott with his side over the last few years has come down to this moment, we have finished in the top two with as good a shot as any to go all the way. I think we are capable of going all the way, it's a mental game for us, let's hope we meet the challenge.

You've inspired me to vote 3-1 runners up. I just have to believe!
