Best case scenario - After winning the minor premiership and earning a home final, Adelaide lose to GWS with their midfield getting well beaten with no Sloane.

On paper GWS' midfield absolutely destroys Adelaide's.

If this happens, the calls of 'they should have gotten Gibbs when they had the chance' will be ringing loudly and essentially if they do anything but win this year's premiership, the heat will be right on them to get some quality in - especially if they lose Lever.

While their supporters have mostly backed their team last period, they'll be out for blood if the club don't land at least 1 big name player during this trade period to strengthen their team and offset the loss of Lever.

Not sure that I quite agree. It gives them a built in excuse now. "We didn't have our best midfielder and Gibbs isn't as good as Sloane and wouldn't have made the difference without Rory."

Depends how much they lose by...what if they only lose by a few goals? Then yes, Gibbs would have likely made the difference.

I want Richmond and Geelong to lose so bad. Shame there has to be a winner.
I'd like Adelaide to go out in straight sets.
I hope Sydney gives Essendon* a thumping.
Port v West Coast... Meh. They are both gone by the end of next week.
