13 possessions, 5 changers, 3 tackles, approx 55% DE

I watched about half of the game. He was pretty average
You're probably right, I just can't understand how the media are looking for every bit of his form to be indicate he's on the improve. Especially considering he plays for Melbourne, no one cares about Melbourne. If it were Hawthorn, Geelong or Melbourne Collingwood I'd understand.

TMac had a pretty good game by comparison. Melbourne winning takes some of the heat off him. Has probably garnered a little sympathy going public on his decision to delete some of his social media.

Not Rucci, but Richard Earle:

Lynch, 27, was among Adelaide’s best against Gold Coast on Saturday, booting three goals. Leading the Crows would place serious scrutiny on why the 110-game linkman hasn’t been re-signed for beyond this season.

The Advertiser revealed last month that Lynch desires a three-year contract extension until 2021 at West Lakes.

“He is a very, very important player to our footy club,” conceded Walker, captain of Adelaide for a fourth season and voted the league’s best for the past two.
In what circumstances would that be a concession by Walker?

It's such a pointless attempt to have another subtle dig at Walker. It's ******* pathetic.

How was that a dig at Walker? It was just poor use of the English language. He actually mentioned the best captain thing too.
It's poor use of the english language with a substantial pejorative effect.

He's not a rookie journalist. He knows what he was doing.

No, this is poor grammar, not a dig.

It should say 'stated' instead of 'conceded' as he is making a statement of fact. The writer may be using 'conceded' as a synonym of 'agreed'.
The other issue is we dont see the original question , only the response

' Taylor , after the weekends effort by Tom Lynch do you agree he is a very important player?''

He has set the hand grenade already. Its not poor journalism its clever and nothing can be done apart from ignoring it

I agree "acknowledged, confirmed" or similar would be far better examples of adjectives to shoe horn into that sentence

And you've forgive the poor use of english if it wasn't the writers job. Instead, the writers job is written communication.

You'd have to be very naive to think that Earle does not own a thesaurus or understand how to use the synonym button in word.

Yeah I think the writer just used the "Synonym Function" in Word without realising exactly what the word meant in the context of the media driven issues of Tex's captaincy.

He probably thought using "conceded" sounds better than "agreed" when he right clicked and saw it come up as a synonym.

Dumbass.
