Powell-Pepper goes to night club with teammates. Gets a bit drunk and starts being flirtatious on the dance floor, running his hands up the girls skirt he is dancing with. The girl doesn't feel uncomfortable enough to leave after this, or report it straight away, so she must not have thought anything of it at the time.
She thinks 'Hey maybe I'm in with a shot here', knowing he's somewhat famous...and hangs around him for the night, but when she returns from the bathroom she finds him making out with another girl on the dance floor.
Girl thinks "I'll show him!" and reports bad behaviour to the club - who believes that counselling Powell-Pepper on drinking and standards away from the club (don't get yourself into situations like this) is enough. Girl claims to be happy with response...but then decides to trash Powell-Pepper's reputation through the entire community by going public anyway before the investigation is complete and we get Sam's side of the story.
Girl then files police report after interview (which stated that at the time no police report had been filed) so that she doesn't appear to be some sort of vindictive slattern.
Does that sound about right?
