Its from a comic arc called the trial of Barry Allen. I cant see them going there anytime soon.
 
Saw the final ep last night - wow, completely speechless. Flash has really exceeded my expectations - and for a 'low' budget TV show, the special effects and CGI this season have been amazing. I think the wedding was a bit random but given everything else was pretty much perfect IMO, I'll let that slide.

Can't wait for season 2!

Just on Eddie's heroic death - I saw a few people saying on social media he should have just had a vasectomy or shoot himself in the crown jewels as it might have had the same effect (or stopping Wells' from existing). :p

Just saw that one of the showrunners has confirmed Tom Cavanagh will still be a regular on the show which is awesome. Guessing maybe season 2 will start with them trying to avoid the massive singularity destroying Central City and perhaps allowing for Cavanagh to survive.

Just thinking back to Arrow and how they originally wanted to keep the show 'grounded' - DC and the CW have really blown that notion out of the water now for their TV universe. Really exciting to see what they are building/putting together.
 
One thing that does niggle at me is that for a such an important character we don't see any of why Rf hates Barry so much or how he got his powers just his memories of when he came back in time, so I suspect his story is not over.

Well with how the story has gone so far we will hopefully see that battles they have in the future before Thawne learns Barrys name and has the idea to go back in time and kill Barry. Oops just realised that is a different Barry to this one. How is that for simple.

Eobard Thawne (Whether played by Tom Cavanagh or Matt Letscher) is too great of a character to only have in one season.

Well with the multiverse being introduced in season 2 and what they've done so far I'm sure it's going to blow our minds. :)

The Reverse Flash stole Dr. Wells identity to make the Flash sooner so he could use his power to get home. So Dr. Wells still created The Flash, so there's no reason he can't be back in S2, since Eddies death should have reversed everything the Reverse Flash did.

Unless he's RF from another timeline, there's one storyline from the 90's where Thorne gets his powers and goes back in time to meet his idol (Barry) only to find out that Barry killed him which sends him over the edge and even though it wasn't Barry that killed him this could have the same effect.

My point is though in this timeline the one we are watching was created when Thawne goes back in time to kill barry as a child, fails but gets stuck there. He then takes wells identity and eventually he is destroyed in this timeline. To me it would only makes sense for him to look like Wells in this timeline once. He will come back in the show but it will be the other actor.

Holy crap this show sure exceeded my expectation.

And with all the crazy (but awesome) stuff happening, Oliver shooting some dudes with a few arrows and telling them they've failed this city seems so tame :eek:

There's so much potential with this universe and all the crazy time stuff it'll be interesting to see how Arrow will keep going or how it will still fit in.

Overall a great finale and a surprisingly strong season overall which I suppose is also how Arrow started.

I still would have liked them to include the 'gift' that Barry was left with in the Flashpoint Paradox storyline but it might come up later and having Cisco's memory be a result of him being a metahuman is an interesting twist.

Always a fan of the alternate timeline approach and so I'm not sure why Eddie shooting himself should cause Wells to disappear, AFAIK there usually wouldn't be any grandfather paradox, still its a minor quibble and they might even bring it up next season. It also looks like trading out Cold and co for Grodd could be a real upgrade for the season two villains.
 
Just discovered this show and binged on it. Holy shit is it good. Just a question, shouldn't Barry's mother come back since eobard has essentially been deleted from history? Even in an alternate universe? Also for low budget it was quite unnoticeable, just seemed like a normal movie. Hopefully the show rakes in a bit of money so that they can improve on the small things though, that would only add to the awesomeness.
