I hope this new Wells/Thawn/Gideon potential element, as well as the mystery girl at the coffee shop is a bit of a boost to a lacklustre season,.

Knowing The Flash Writers though, they will likely explain the cliffhanger within 5 minutes of next weeks episode, and then proceed to have an episode centred around Iris and Barrys marriage.

I went back recently to watch parts of season 1, particularly to how they handled to slow reveal of Wells as the Reverse Flash. Its amazing how far the show has fallen since Season 3.

Or that Wells is held captive, and someone else has used his face. This happens every season.

Was a pretty standard ep.

Usual crappy formula of overwritten, and forced storyline of Ralph cracking too many jokes, with Barry cracking the shits only to be proven wrong and learn something in the process. Do the writers have anything more creative than the washed out 'coming of age' story?

HOWEVER! The twist at the end gives me hope of a return to glory. Slightly...

Wells looking shady, trying to enter Thawn's lair in secret makes me suspect Wells is actually Thawn.

Remember in Thawn and Barry's last encounter he threatened the next time they'd meet he'd be wearing a different face? Perhaps this is what he is referring to.

The one thing that undermines Wells having been Thawn all through this season is the fact that Wells and Jesse shared intimate discussions about Jesse's mother - information that only the real Wells would know. But on the flip side, I guess if you were to try and masquerade as Wells you'd need to research as much into his life as possible down to the intimate details - and Thawn has pulled it off before, so why not?

Also, Thawn featured early in the season during the DeVoe flashback on how he attended Star Labs in order to get hit by the Particle Accelerator explosion. Thawn picked him out from the crowd and prophesied him, knowing full well in the future that DeVoe would become the Thinker. The question is; did Thawn also set the Particle Accelerator to explode to serve this purpose as well as helping Barry become the Flash? If so, does that mean if Thawn is masquerading as Wells in Team Flash once again, is he acting as DeVoe's sleeper agent? Or is he doing it to achieve his own goals?

Saw this on Reddit. Did lol.

Show is getting more and more ridiculous by the ep.

Reminds me so much of when another one of my favourite shows in Dexter changed writers in the later seasons, and how they wrote him out of tricky situations without getting caught after killing someone in broad daylight bordered on magic and nonsense - leaving behind an infinite amount of plot-holes as a result.

Now in Flash we're seeing Joe take on the exact same robot ninja that terrorised Central City in episode one... NOT FORGETTING THAT THIS NINJA WAS THE REASON AS TO WHY TEAM FLASH RESCUED BARRY FROM THE SPEED FORCE IN THE FIRST PLACE - TO TAKE DOWN THE UNSTOPPABLE NINJA!

Heck, if Ninja Joe could've taken him down he should've spoken up and Barry would have been left to have a merry old time in the speed force, and we wouldn't have had to endure this dreadful season 3.

Not to mention Ralph
meeting his end
due to Barry AGAIN not listening to him being the voice of reason. It pains to me say it, but the show has almost hit rock bottom.

Of all the possible cool storylines they could have gone down with the Wells/Gideon thing they choose THAT ????????

Also some quality SpeedPlot writing this episode. Despite being able to run to China and back in a matter of seconds, as well as essentially stopping time for an episode, Barry was not quick enough to hit the magic spatula on the ground before Devoe put his hand up.

Theoretically with his powers Devoe should be unstoppable now. Its likely that his wife will be the one to bring about his downfall.
Either that or.....

I stopped watching the show because the speed God Savitar was a Barry time remnant wearing armor but could run circles around the flash and could turn ordinary people into speedsters by putting them into a cocoon. But as it turns out Barry could've just vibrated into his armor and kick his remnant out the whole time.

Out of boredom I dl'd so far S4 a couple weeks ago and it's still not as bad as the Savitar storyline.

And that robot Samurai being defeated by Joe is easily explained, it turns out it malfunctions when you talk to it about your feelings. :p:straining::D

Im basically just sticking around for RF to return and the pay off from the season 1 finale when Future Barry tells s1 Barry to not save his mum. Remember how good they season 1 finale was though.
I still have the episode on my HD and I had this song I was playing that time a lot and whenever I hear that song I think of that episode and where Barry runs up the debris into the breach where Zoom comes from in the next season.

S1 and 2 were just so good.

He will be back. Nothing surer.
I still have trouble wrapping my head around that one.
On one hand, I get that previous versions of Eobard before S1 of Flash can exist because the events of S1 haven't taken place yet.
But Eddie killing himself should have meant that Eobard was never born and all versions of him should be erased from the timeline.

They said themselves he shouldnt exist but he exists out of time now because the writers want it that way. Dont even bother trying to make sense of it. Just enjoy it coz I still think it will be good.....hopefully.
