Newcomer Violett Beane has been cast as Jesse Chambers, better known as the speedster Jesse Quick, on The Flash, TVLine reports.

TV's Jesse Quick is "a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Zoom," the site reports.

Jesse Chambers is the daughter of Golden Age superheroes Liberty Belle and Johnny Quick in the comics, and played an important role during Geoff Johns' runs on both The Flash and JSA. Her father taught Jesse the formula that let him draw energy from the Speed Force, 3x2(9yz)4a.

Haha don't get me wrong, love Arrow as well but just felt the last season didn't quite live up to season 2 and was overshadowed by the Flash. Seeing the promotional stuff, seems like Flash will have quite a few big things to look forward to this coming season. Hopefully they are keeping quiet on Arrow as the stuff they have teased (IMO) isn't as exciting as what Flash has lined up.

Then again, I read Guggenheim said they are keeping their cards close to the chest for the flashback stuff, could mean they have an a cool idea for an arc...

Hopefully Flash is good. The multiverse stuff could get really ugly really quickly though.

I really hope they try and keep it simple. If the show starts jumping back and forth through time and across timelines too much it's going to be way too hard to follow unless you're a dedicated watcher. The good thing about this show so far is it's been light and casual, and doesn't take itself anywhere near as seriously as Arrow.

Still face palm at the Iris scenes. Her and Laurel should get their own spin off series so Flash and Arrow would be free of them.

14 years is a long time to of spent in prison. I hope Henry gets the support he needs to reacclimatise back into society. It's going to be tough, and sometimes even loved ones won't know how to help in what can be a very trying time...

I thought that too but I was prepared for that as the first season always teased little bits and gave us surprises.

Hopefully the Harrison Wells character (or more specifically the actor) is in it more than just a memory, also was glad Firestorm also helped destroy the wormhole as I thought it would be just too simple for Barry to close it just by running fast in it.

I liked the part how his Father at the prison gate says 'I'll race you' as we know he was the Flash from the 90's series.
