Great episode. Unless they go with a time travel explanation or some other crazy explanation, we can rule out Earth 2 Joe West and Nora Allen as being Zoom (Earth 2 Henry Allen not completely ruled out). Keen to hear who people think Zoom is going to be, I'm back to the drawing board after this episode.

My theories:
- Future Jay Garrick who has gone mad and needs speed to survive. If he isn't Jay he is someone to do with him, E1 Jay being called Hunter Zolomon is no joke
- Eddie (Although why was Eddie on the phone? SO MANY QUESTIONS!)

And also LOL at Barry being a regular guy who has contacts with the freaking justice league lmao (Although it is more likely to be Iris in this earth)

The only theories I have at the moment is Earth 2 Henry Allen or Earth 2 Wally West but they're not looking likely at this point. I agree that Hunter Zolomon will play a bigger part in the future, either in this season or later seasons.

What Sterge said but IIRC in an earlier episode Jay said Atlantis existed on Earth 2.

My theory is still with Zoom being tied to Eddie which would also explain why we haven't seen him.

The second which was hinted at massively in this ep when talking about Velocity 6/7 - Jay has a craving to become faster by any means possible, a connection he shares with Zoom. He explained it as if it were an addiction, and it's entirely possible that Jay is the 'good' version before he is driven mad by his addiction later in the future and turns into Zoom.

My other theory is that Eddie could be the other conceivable suspect. We didn't spot his doppelganger on Earth 2, so where is he? More intriguingly, why was his body sucked into the portal after he killed himself in S1? The writers deliberately added that for a reason - could it have something to do with Zoom?

Decent theory on Jay's craving but I suspect his 'real' story will be the centerpiece for another season.

I'm 100% convinced that Eddie is the key (just like his necklace) to the mystery of Zoom, also in next week's trailer you see Zoom starting to take off his mask for a possible unveiling which coincides with us finally starting to find out the secret of RF last year because after all we need plenty of episodes for our hero to be torn about who Zoom is where as I think the Zoloman thing was just the producers trying to throw us because there are other comic book characters that can be tied to the blue Zoom.

But what really does it for me was when Barry asked Zoom earlier in the season what he wanted, Zoom said everything which I took as just not his power's but also his woman, it's just one of the oldest comic book storylines that the villain hates the hero because he gets the woman who the villain also loves and in the final episodes of last season Eddie had given up hope of winning Iris from Barry hence the motive.

I think the man with the mask in the Cell on E-2 will be the Real Jay Garrick. and the one we have seen on Earth 1 will be a shapeshifter like Thorne/Wells in season 1. or he is Earth-2 Hunter Zolomon. dont think it will be Jay from another earth because for casual fans the multiverse will get too confusing but it could open up the possibilities of who Zoom is even more.

That was exactly what I thought.
Jay Garrick in the present day loses his speed, gets Velocity 9 and becomes addicted to getting more and more until eventually becomes Zoom. I also think the bloke behind the iron mask is Earth 2 Eddie.

I Think that the Jay currently on Earth 1 is an impostor, and not actually a speedster at all. He only has speed when he is injected with Velocity
He also conveniently stood near the breach at the end, as if he wanted to get sucked back into Earth 2

I reckon the man in the mask was Henry Allen. The posture and age seemed to fit.

Definitely seemed like Zoom is the future Jay Garrick, ending sort of threw me for a loop.

Yeah he is awesome. Im expecting to see his arc fleshed out alot more in terms of what his motivations are but that wont happen until he is unmasked.

Plot hole I imagine. Though there is the possibility Zoom bought him across to steal Barry's speed, like he did the meta's. But I dont think they ever explained one way or the other.
