Interesting ep!

So the man in the iron mask? With Hunter's "you wouldn't believe me if i told you" comment, i'm now shifting in thinking that there is a twist behind it simply being Hunter Zoloman from Earth 1. Instead I now think it's Wally from Earth 2, who is actually the Flash of that universe - falling in line with the Flash lore. If that's the case, I reckon the reason behind Hunter holding him captive is that he can drain and consume his powers slowly over time, to help keep himself alive.

But one thing I still can't get my head around is the explanation of how Hunter went back in time and convinced himself to play the charade of playing the part of 'Jay' just so he could kill him. Wouldn't Hunter have been erased from existence by killing his younger self?

Cisco closed the first one and left the others open, but not really explained.

Last mystery is who is in the mask, most likely the real Jay Garrick, but Zolomon could have killed him to take his idendity so why hasnt he?

Kinda dissapointing we wont see the real golden age flash

They made it look like Cisco had to hold the breach open and when he stopped it would close, bad writing or they deleted a scene. and when Zoom took Wally back he came back somewhere in STAR labs not a warehouse on the otherside of town.

I dont know who the man in the iron mask is, could be Wally from another earth or the future. i keep expecting the show to come up with a good surprise and not the most obvious ones like they end up going with. Wells as RF and Jay as Zoom.

So whoever you think that its too easy to be that person, i will pick them

They explained that as a time remnant, which is how Eobard Thawne still exists. I dont get it but prob not something that really is suppose to make sense.

What exactly do they mean by time remnant? I took it to mean a younger version of Hunter from the past, or would it be a version of Hunter from Earth 3/4/5/infinity?

It annoyed me because it creates a time paradox, if you remove someone from the past, how can the now [future] you exist.

Yeah the show has showed that time is not linear, but you cant remove someone from the timeline without any backlash. and how could the Flash Jay could of been fighting Zoom on E2 when the breaches opened [and before] if Zoom hadnt gone back to take the past Jay and use him to get Barry's speed.

It doesnt make sense to me, the best I could understand it was the Eobard now exists outside all timelines but to exist at all he has to be within a timeline. Anyway way my head hurts thinking about it too much all you need to know is that its a way.for Hunter Zoloman and Eobard Thawne to exist despite what happens to them so the writers can use them when necessary. I beleive its similar with Thawne in the comics

He...didn't really give him his speed did they? If he did, that's a ******* terrible plan.

They had some hidden they already took away and Barry will slowly get it back using the tacion device or some shit like that.

I dont think that fight even happened. Hunter/Zoom was lying when he told that story.

Yeah the whole time I was thinking "there's no way he's really doing this".

Wells will have faked it and the vial will have just filled up with Velocity 6 or something like that to give Zoom that boost of speed so he thought it was real.

I wonder if thats why Wells mentioned that he had to calibrate it just right or something like that.

But DickWells knew about Jay as the Flash and Zoom both existed at the same time before the breaches opened.

Did Wells ever see them in the same place at the same time though? From memory (could be wrong) the only time we've seen Garrick Flash and Zoom fighting is when Jay was telling the story about it, which obviously he would've just made up.

Hunter was pretending to be Jay Garrick aka earth 2 flash, he said he pretended to be a hero to give people hope. Could have also been the other hunter in the costume as Jay/ E2 flash, they didnt say when he did it did they? Basically earth 2 flash was just a trick

Also the helmet futher proves this, it was Hunter Zolomans fathers.

Speaking of the Helmet, seems RF may have been afraid of it not becauase its was a hero coming after him but a villian coming to steal his speed.

The preview for next week shows Barry having lost his speed, so it seems like they actually did it.

Yeah I've given up with their time travel explanations since Eddie sacrificed himself at the end of Season 1.
