Anyway on to the 40s.... The direct straight line route of flight paths ONLY works on flat map. Why no responses/debunks yet from the globers yet? Too scared to touch on that?

What do you mean the direct thing only works on flat earth?

As I explained before in the car analogy, everything in the car is travelling at 100kph so throwing a tennis ball up in the air you don't see it suddenly fly backwards within the car, because all the air and atmosphere within that car is all hurtling along at 100. If you tossed the ball up and you had a sunroof open in the car and it went up and out the sunroof, then the ball would suddenly fly backwards, released as it is from the cylinder of the car.

It's the same with the earth. It is spinning, and all the air and atmosphere people and dogs and cattle which are kept within by gravity are all spinning along with it. Therefore even when your plane is waiting to take off on the runway, it is like the tennis ball at rest in your hand - seemingly not moving but in fact moving at 1000mph within the cylinder of the earth.

When the plane then takes off and flies at let's say 500mph with the spin of the earth it is actually travelling 1500mph but from its own power it is of course traveling just 500mph. The atmosphere and motion of the earth turning is bringing it along that other 1000mph. If we use the tennis ball example again and you threw the ball to someone in the front seat, throwing it at a speed of 50kph the ball is traveling, momentarily, 150kph, but you haven't suddenly become the worlds fastest bowler, you were aided by the motion within that car.

So the plane instead of flying with the earths spin flies against it, at 500 mph. Yes it is actually travelling 500mph with the spin now relative to the rest of the universe, which means it has slowed its own spin down to only 500mph, which of course means it travels across the globe at that same rate against the spin. This is just the same as the guy in the front seat throwing the ball back to you at 50kph. The ball has actually travelled 50kph in the opposite direction relative to the world outside the car, but moves relative to the car in the opposite direction.

The points in the #40s are also damn good.

Showing flight paths on a globe earth, how a plane could fly direct route straight from sydney to santiago. But they always go north first, to Los Angeles before then flying back south to Santiago. But showing such a flight path on a flat earth map, Sydney to Los Angeles to Santiago IS actually a straight line! Many other such examples shown in these flight paths. How they make no sense on a globe map, but perfect sense on a flat map. As the routes all then are straight direct lines.

OK. I don't know enough about flight paths and whether what he says about "they always go North first" is true or untrue, and what reasons there are for it, etc.
