Pilots don't know. They just follow navigational tools on their planes. NO ONE knows if it would look spherical as a pilot, unless you are an astronaut -- and they don't know because no one has ever gone to the moon. Low earth orbit, the farthest mankind has traveled, STILL doesn't show curvature because the Earth is absolutely MASSIVE. So massive you could never see an entirety of a side of it to tell. It's like a flea literally sitting on a basketball.....re: man vs low earth orbit of a planetary object.

And no cameras taking shots in space because it's impossible to do that. Best man has done is get binary data from probing space beyond the earth. Literally, all those images you see of Jupiter/etc are ONLY constructs imagined from binary data. There was a video I posted somewhere, it's out there somewhere on youtube, which has NASA people talking about how they imagine and create the look of planets all from binary/mathematical data they receive from deep space probes.

Why is it impossible?? What about telescopes, or the fact that I can clearly see the moon with my own eyes, if I can see the moon, then surely with those massive telescopes they could at least see some of our closest neighbours? Or are telescopes a conspiracy too? Is the moon real? How come that's not flat?

But why, why would people really care if someone came and said, actually guys, we've got this new technology, and we've discovered that the earth isn't actually a ball, it's a whatever. At the FES we teach our kids that maybe the earth is round,although we doubt we can stand upside down and not realise it.
We don't believe the universe exists.
We also teach quantum physics.
As I've discussed we have had bullying issues from both sides.
At the FES we teach our young students what we believe is real science.

The highest powered telescopes looking at planets like Mars and Venus, show the planets to be actually dynamic in construct. And NOTHING like what the NASA images show -- which are hi-def photoshopping of said data. But the telescopes show -- see video below -- (does that look like a solid spherical object to you?)

And as for the moon....it's round, but who's to say it's spherical? The Earth could be round too, but flat or convex. (Flat doesnt mean table top thin, just flat as in people live on only on the "up" side of it). We never see the dark side of the moon during it's supposed rotation, you'd think at some point the other side of it (if it were a ball) would spin around and be visible. Instead, only one side of it. Hallmark of a flat moon too.

Yeah look, I'm all for simulated universe, nothing is as it seems etc, but I just don't understand the motive behind telling the world's population that the earth is a ball, if it's not. Why would we really care? Surely most people would fascinated, and just want to know what it really does look like.

I guess until each of us personally goes up into space (if it exists) and looks down on the earth, nothing will be proof enough for either side of the argument

There's a point around half-way in where they tell you upon what basis science decided the earth was a sphere. And no, it was just seven incidents in history and everyone just accepted it. That aint "science". Science is testing everything to disprove it in order to prove it.

The flat earth was never the accepted belief. Most scientists among the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians etc - if I may use that term 'scientist' - most well-educated people knew the earth was a sphere - if they cared. Which, for the majority of folks, was the point - they didn't care. Their 'world' was too small to have any consequences relevant to whether the earth was round or flat. The concept of the Earth being finite at all would have been a massive leap for them.

The earth was recognised as a round object long before Jesuits or Christianity was even thought about.

theyre idiots because they are going against thousands of years and the work of millions of independent and unrelated scientists who all prove the same conclusion. and its not even that because that in itself is fair, but its the reasons and the way they do it. FES says to science "wheres your proof the earth is round" and science produces innumerable studies and even photographs of the earth itself. FES then doesn't counter with alternative evidence, it simply claims its all a conspiracy and that the photos are fake. science then says well wheres your proof that the earth is flat and why all these things work when the science is based on everything we know, and FES just says we dunno but what you said sounds stupid, then produces a picture of the horizon and says 'there look flat'. the very basis of the flat earth argument is that everything is a lie or fake, even the stars themselves. that is not a legitimate basis for scientific argument.

going against common scientific knowledge with reasoned science and evidence is not stupid, but going against it without any evidence other than conspiracy theories, denial and slander is.
