Right....So in the beginning there was nothing.....then nothing spontaneously exploded into something.

Got it.
thats not even what they said. its pointless talking to people like you if you are going to be ignoring what people actually say and just making shit up.

People seem to misunderstand the Big Bang and think it's the final explanation and therefore lacking. It's not; scientists are seeking to explain how the Big Bang came about and have many theories. Just because we don't have the answer doesn't mean we have to fall back on God.

Enough about this other crap. Get back to how the earth is flat.
The entertainment I get from this thread is immense.

Without any intention of creating life but just for shits not giggles

Are you saying that the Big Bang is pointless?

How dare you question scientific metaphysical speculation like that.....Lets cut these guys some slack.....They're new at this caper.

Philosophers & Cosmoganists only have a millennia of head-starts upon em....LOL.

Remember, science brought us refrigeration n some other stuff.....So there's that.

What makes it even more pointless according to the science of it is that life may never have been created.

Wrong...I have a magazine dedicated to theories about what came before the Big Bang. At this stage, not enough evidence exists for any of them, so they are yet-to-be-widely accepted theories. But the work is being done.

So we're all a figment of God's imagination....or the Devil's.;)

Where's Descartes' Angel when I need her.

Yeah, What?

When I was 4, I was fascinated by plah-Doh.....Oh, the plasticity.

That tub of Plah-Doh made more sense than your last post.

Comprehension problems? The Big Bang represents the beginning of our universe but scientists are intrigued by what came before the Big Bang. Is ours the one and only universe? Does it expand and contract? Even heard of bubble universes? This idea that the Big Bang is the end of the scientific discussion, therefore you can disregard it because you think you have found a flaw, is indeed the province of four-year-old thinking.

Ah-So....An infinite regress of universes then.....Wow, mind expanding stuff that.

Um, I think we've done the infinite regress argument to death when it comes to God & the creation....How is positing earlier universes or more expansive & comprehensive one's going to change the existential conundrum amigo?

Who said anything about solving the existential problem? At some point we probably have to accept that something has always existed: God or nature. But I will always go where the evidence leads me.

Not the breakthrough you think it is; I've always known that, I've also always followed the evidence. Science has a track record, pointing to God does not.

Of course, it's fully intuitive.

I just laugh at all that superiority of science for scientific claims, formulae, experiment, evidence etc etc....Merely to arrive back at Aristotle.

So now we are talking about God,a pretty full on distraction to what we actually know about the shape of the earth and proof old science tends to go down the path of distraction and misleading as they have no idea, and continue to lie.

At the FES we purely teach modern science. We treat religion as a separate point as we do ideas of simulation.

The Earth is certainly not a ball,if we lived in a society of knowledge people wouldn't be bothering to take on fake positions of power on the internet, people wouldn't be debating, people wouldn't be discussing topics they don't believe in. Kind of sounds like people confused that they're upside down or something?

At the FES this is exactly why we are,and will continue to concentrate on the next generation. A generation that doesn't have a 'bay' yet,a generation where people not only believe in the truth but have a proper understanding. Not yet brainwashed.

At the FES we may be growing, but our goals reach far higher than some of the things I'm reading here, and some of the pathetic likes I continue to see on our page approaching 250 pages.
At the FES,as we continue to grow,we will continue to teach.

Stephen Hawking having a crack at this week at what came before the Big Bang. Also happens to mention the roundness of Earth at the same time :)

What is the website for the FES you are with. There appears to be more than one.
