Have people not worked out yet that the whole "flat Earth" thing is a psyop? They're trying to lump everyone who questions any aspect of history, such as the assassination of JFK or 9/11, into a flat Earther because the latter is so obviously nuts. The others have some merit in terms of actually questioning what transpired - money, corruption, war etc.

Not getting into any of that stuff, just giving my take on the flat Earth bullshit.

Their evidence doesn't conflict with my religious beliefs, given I hold no religious beliefs.

I'm not going to argue with you about the fact Atheism is not a religion - given is it a term used to describe someone who does not believe in any particular god.

Posting conspiracy youtube videos and a random assortment of pictures, citing no credible sources, does not count as being evidence. I haven't read all 55 pages of this thread and don't intent to, so when I ask the question I hope that someone who believes this will offer something up to explain it.

Do you believe the earth is flat?
Can't you read?
I believe in the land of facts. I'm open minded to all theories until facts are provided.
If you think science isn't a religion your kidding yourself. Why else would people from your religion be on Christian threads pushing their counter cause or getting so upset about other religions in general society.

57 pages this thread has now been running, and we still are yet to be provided with any proof that gravity exists to counter the flat earth Universal Acceleration (UA) theory.

If this was as debating topic, based purely on this thread, the flat earth theory would be an absolute mile ahead, that's something you might want to consider.

And do we have any unaltered video footage yet of the round earth spinning that has been requested?

yeah that was my initial assumption too yet is there any proof for that claim?

your god is science, you missed the inference there

No, clearly I cannot read and it is just by magic that I am able to converse with you. I was able to predict what you were going to say, like we predicted what we would have for dinner, and thus was able to respond accordingly. Once again I have provided evidence for my magic. Though this time I didn't use my magic wisdom-beard, I harnessed the magic in my dingle-berries.

Science being a religion or not has literally nothing to do with arguing the merits of Christian or other religious beliefs.

I am asking the believers in this theory to show me something so I can have a read - I mean use my magic dingle-berries to interpret it - for myself. I am not going to trawl through 57 pages of this thread to pick out the juicy bits, I don't have the time right now.

I assume that the people who do believe in this theory would have some kind of evidence to provide to support the case.

If you do not believe in this theory then don't respond to my questions asking for some evidence, as you have nothing to offer. I only have enough dingle-berry magic juice to use to interpret things, so I shouldn't be wasting it on nothing posts.

Nah, I didn't miss it mate.

just making sure as i thought it was an important bit

Or perhaps they could provide their evidence to support their minority beliefs.

Every experiment ever designed to detect the motion of the earth has failed

and yet the majority view reckons we go

- @ 1000 mph around its central axis
- traveling 67000 mph , circles around the sun
- spiraling 500000 mph around the milky way
- while the galaxy goes 670000000 mph thur the univers

reminds me of churchill saying the majority of people are dumbasses

So do you believe the earth is flat, or perhaps it doesn't move the way in which it is described?

Well, yeah.

Compared to the huge distance of even the nearest star (about 40,141,900,000,000 kms), the stated earth's velocity of 1,078,260 kms per hour (670,000 mph) is very slow going, and thousands of years is not a long time at all.

It would be like walking five metres on the top of the You Yangs and being surprised at the fact that the skyline of Melbourne's CBD, the skyline of Geelong's CBD, and their relative positions, look no different.

Your magical dingle berries sound a lot like dark matter and magik gravity, big on theory low on fact.

You have read the links posted in the op I assume? You'll find most of the questions you may want to know more about are in there, and if you had further questions you would be able to simply ask or do further research, rather than concentrating on defending the theories your religion has brainwashed you into believing.

Yeah, back in 2012, Barack Obama announced that the US Government was planning to undertake a psychological operation to muddy the waters of the truth movement ;)

No, it is an assumption based on years of reading information from hundreds/thousands of websites and videos that have, together with my basic education and tertiary education in health and medical science, informed my own understanding of the world in which we live.

It'd be wonderful to have proof of absolutely everything, but the reality is, you couldn't really say much about anything if this were the requirement. There is conflicting information on almost everything. In fact, science has a huge problem with reproducibility of results. (Hate to quote wikipedia, but I'm not spending long on this post).

This means we need to use our brains to formulate conclusions. We can do so as informed individuals or ignorant individuals. I consider myself informed.

Of course, there is ALWAYS more information to learn.

Do not dare blaspheme against my magical dingle-berries!

even a little bit would be nice sometimes

It doesn't show the entire planet, but this is a live feed from the international space station

Can anyone source me an unedited video of the Earth spinning?

Come on man,

You know that's not good enough and/or really what I asked for.
I must say I took a look and was shocked at how ordinary it was as an example of what you asked for lol. It wasn't even using the same camera throughout the process either.
The curvature also seemed as much plate like as it did ball.

.

It shows the curvature of the earth. Have you ever been in a plane at 30-40,000 feet up? On a clear day you can see the curvature of the earth from your window as well.

Just to make clear I'm not attacking your beliefs, nor mocking them. Just pointing things out.

I must have missed the original convo. I arrived (fashionably) late:oops:
Nah your cool man,the aeroplane seat evidence has been used and followed up with some pretty blatant abuse towards the flat earthers with not much else by the way ovidence to follow it up with by a few people.
I think the conclusion was the windows are curved and the flat earth society do address the issue on their website.

Fair enough. I'll not abuse anyone. I personally don't believe the earth is flat, but that doesn't mean anyone else is or isn't entitled to do so regardless of evidence for/against.

It's all good:thumbsu:

I think you'll find a lot of the discussions here has been based around exactly what you have just posted :thumbsu:

Don't be stupid. So - on the ground, the windows magically 'know' to show straight lines (like runway markings etc) as straight lines, yet when we get 10,000 metres up, they mysteriously know to curve and show the horizon as curved. Although surprisingly, the plane's wings still look straight, whenever I look out of the window at 10,000 metres up. Or if I look down at a road on the ground it looks straight.
